Christian Dior S/S 2026 by David Sims

I am not in love with the campaign. A mix of good and bad shots. I am sure I'll see the bad ones everywhere in magazines. Model Laura Kaiser and actor Paul Kircher are beauties and stand out for me.
A mix of bad and dull, more like it. God bless you child for seeing anything “good” in this campaign!!

The issue is the insistent placement (middle left) and the scale of the logo which is inconsistent in size.

The logo out of balance with the rest of the images which makes it look like it's a knockoff.

If they increased the side and the color of the logo in certain images it would be much more convincing.

Mbappé, has a certain charm and quirk.

I like some shots but not all.
I guess David Sims' agent must be very happy.

The shots of Kylian sitting down look so ... I know that feeling being blissfully z00ted having just completed a bag of Cheetos

lol they didn’t use him well. that neck looks like he’s about to choke and the slouch makes him look even sillier compared to everyone else(especially with Laura Kaiser’s more graceful version just before in pic #2). He already has a baby face and no facial hair so making him look more childish and out of place was not the right move imo.

Agreed with Lola and whoever else that the Logo looks amateur and awkward, doesn’t seem like the shots were conceived of and framed with its addition in mind(which seems weird if they were going to put it in the same place every shot).

I will say that in the shot of the 3 girls on the couch, the bow heels look really cute in that plaid.

very pedestrian and department store fitting. the problem is the collection has already been so overexposed i can't stand seeing it anymore. especially since it's so boring and this campaign brings nothing new to the table. i expected location shots...

I like the atmosphere of this campaign. It’s light, it feels fun and young. But some elevation wouldn’t hurt here. It would be nice to see more interesting hair and make up. It’s begging for a look and really good models. It’s just on the edge of high class pedestrian.

Otherwise I find the color grading rather beautiful. Had he gone for not hard black logos it would have been more delicate

Chloe, the later campaigns by Meisel for Lanvin (portrait series from memory, one of them with Raquel), Prada spring 2006, Louis Vuitton… the list goes on. But yet there’s no Dior in this bar the logo.

It’s pedestrian and uninspired. The edit feels timid, like they don’t trust the clothes. What’s being shown here doesn’t reflect the runway vision at all. These weren’t extreme, Galliano-level looks that needed to be watered down, they could have just shown the runway looks as is. If someone did this to my collection, I’d be very upset.

Those are runway looks shown as they are.
Maybe they could have shown the most dramatic looks but Benjamin Bruno didn’t alter his styling one bit.

Tbh from a pure photographic POV, they made a good job showcasing the collection. It looks less weird than on the runway.

I’m thinking about the Bar suit on Greta. It looks great here but it looked odd on the show.
