What next - a Paul Mcartney collection with thumbs up signs all over the place shown to some French BJ's remix of Maxwell's Silver Hammer??

 too funny.

BJ, heh, what are you thinking about at work, Johnny?! :D

go nqth...:mowhawk:...

johnny...
i think that you're right that the pieces will land in store just as they are on the runway...
but the pink panther collection looked pretty silly on the runway too..
however once it was all in store...
i thought the patterns and prints filled the store with life!!...
so i think this will actually look better in the store (even if it's not actually different)
;)

Thanks Softgrey:-)))

Faust, I meant "forward way of expression", not just wearing the clothes:-P

Actually I have read an article about African arts exhibition in Paris, where things are said and done just in a very "simple" and primitive, straight forward way. It is about ripping off all the "surounding" to get right to the core, the message, the idea, blah blah... It made other "european" art exhibition looked just pretensious and blank. You see that I am being so easily influenced:-))

Exactly right! The only thing I can think of is the tartan jackets like AW 2000. There will inevitable be other pices though. I got three things from the pink collection and two weren't on the runway at all.

By the way softie, you are so right about the clothes bringing the store to life. This is really the case in the Paris store - the place looks amazing with all the bright and garish clothing set against the red perspex. That was true for the pink collection and also for this summer's Junya collection with the bright parkas etc. I think that's what made me like it so much. It wasn't nearly as appealling in DSM. The collection will look amazing in the Paris store, but the clothes will still be tres dificile.

yes...i imagine the red perspex will be a great backdrop...

i saw some beautiful blk suits on the runway which would always work...

great post ngth! i was trying to say something along the lines of this, but 'a orgy of rock and roll and a uncontrolllable fit of giggles' must be hard to translate into the definition of pure manic energy :innocent:  but yes, i think you figured it out ;)

I think it is primative and straight forword, i think thats what rock and roll is about, wild energy. May be bad taste and kitsch and silly, but I think these things can be strong to, becuase it's free, liek travolta said, especially in men's wear wich is usually so conservative.
This isn't the first time she has done soemthing like this either.

Here is top Fashionista Rick Traylor wearing the Comme Des Garconne shorts hot off the runway, he paired them with a spraypainted sleeveless tee, socks and slides, baseball cap and orange glasses retainers. Very Avant Garde...

OH boy, I'm trying not to be rude but I would like the shorts better if it's not paired with a golf field

And in a way, I like the huge lips t-shirt, that's sexy
