COS S/S 08 London

Its very Marni/Chloe...I do love the black dress and black miniskirt

i was just going to say myself how it's so spookily similar to raf simons' jil sander...perhaps alot more mind-numbing though. egads, they really would have done better to show H&M on the catwalk than this dribble.

...clean, minimal and boring.....me like!

well....maybe it's unoriginal...
but i would like to have the option of buying affordable, simple basics like this...
we dont have anything like this here in aus...
and we could definitely do with something...

i think that's a good idea
i don't know anything about them--
is it a brand like H&M? if so, then it's good because i find colours and fit like this are rare in the more common ready-to-wear at the malls and things

i JUST got it!...
since i have never seen a store (they are only in europe)
i wasn't understanding what the market or point of this new division of H&M was...
but now it has come clear...

it's ZARA!!!..
slightly more mature designs...suitable for the workplace...
slightly higher pricepoints...

it's all crystal clear now...^_^...

thanks for posting the pics...:flower:

thanks for clearing things up too, softgrey :P

well yes...the little blurb that iperlchen posted said it's part of the H&M group....
we have NOTHING like that here in australia...
no zara, no H&M, no mango, no topshop...absolutely ZIP...

europe has so much of this kind of thing...
designer inspired, sophisticated clothing at affordable prices...
with fairly good cuts, quality, fabrics etc...
i dont think the average shopper there realises how lucky they are...

something doesnt seem right with the combination of the shapes/colours.... it seems a little garish sort of early 80's work wear... which can be done nicely...all the same though im personally not a fan

I echo previous statements but seriously who cares.

They COULD have done something original, well too bad.

This seems like a safe route to offer cheaper Jil Sander/Marni/Chloe substitutes.

They look like they are cut quite well.. For basics i think this would be quite good, atleast for those of us who cant afford sky high prices. I can see some of these looks/pieces translating into the wardrobes of stylish people.

I loove the grey blouse in the second pic in post #2 a lot ^_^

Not the most original collection obviously but I'd wear a few things for sure.

it's Zara, really????
I thought it was H&M .... COS stands for Collection of Style... non????

^ i think she meant to say that's H&M way to compete with Zara, since COS has "slightly more mature designs, suitable for the workplace, and slightly higher pricepoints" compared to the H&M main line

When every mediocre cheap line has to have a calendar runway show you know something has to change.
Used to be they were design statements, now it's mostly commerce and marketing hype.
I suppose we can expect shows by Tati, Upim, Walmart and Target next....

I like the concept: nice affordable and basic clothes you may need for work etc..
No chaotic H&M mess, just clean and simple lines and more quality fabric:innocent: Just what I needed because I usually feel the urge to run away in an H&M store (or regret buying so much crap).
