I think it was EleyKishimoto that called this style Cosmic dolls in their latest collection..

The pics are from the japanese magazine "Jille"..

Unicorns, my little ponys, rainbows, owls, bright colors, girlish drawings, smileys...all this makes me think of my childhood in the mid 80's..and I really like this..maybe not to wear but it feels refreshing when it shows up in the shops..

What do u think?:heart::heart::heart:

Maybe theese have already been posted on the fairy-tale thread..I dunno...

I cant tell where the pics are from..so sorry...from my own archives...

some more pics..

The EleyKishimoto pics are from style.com

i love it...although for me ive 'been there done that' ( i relived my 80's)...a bit 80's child mixed with free hippy pixie (peace signs, happy face) ....so cute.

thanks for sharing, emi ^_^

cool pics, i enjoyed looking at the prints...i have a few patches i made years ago with this vintage fabric ( 70's, very colourful, paisly psychedelic) i found...after rediscovering the patches i had to make more

I love this look:heart: ^_^ so cute and dreamy.
Makes me want to live in a pink frosting castle.

Thanks for the pics!..

Maybe this is not actually a style but a "styling"-tendence..The way you can mix different items..I'll post some T-shirts that I really like..

all pictures are scans from the magazines Girls, Jille and Non-no

I think a lot of this has been posted in the Child Like Styles thread as well.... Is there really a big difference?

I think cosmic doll style is different from child like style. cosmic doll is more about flying stars and rainbows. it has a lot to do with children in japan

here are two of my buttons that I think represent the style

they're adorable although I don't think you should go all out with the look.. bits and pieces from it can be very quite

^^^^I wouldn't call the EleyKishimoto collection childlike..more nostalgic..I think there is a difference..

that's a very interesting look.mainly when it doesn't look crazy and tacky or similar to the 80's ...;)
anyway i've always found rainbows and stars very cute.

i'd say it's a more specific sub-category of child-like style as we defined it:D
emi, in case you haven't seen the thread mr.dale referred to, it was interpreted quite broadly and romantic nostalgia definitely played a part in it:

thanks for the thread, it's something i can only appreciate in little doses but it's definitely another take on the eighties...
