I'm secretly hoping Alexandra's last cover will feature all the big British models...

I would love to see that..really hope its not Kate Moss again, or Cara etc. Knowing Alexandra she'll go for the most mundane option available

No, nothing connected to Rei or any designer. I was told it had to do with the cover pieces - Vogue and the other magazine - which turned out to focus on the same parts of Katy Perry's life and evolution and therefore making comparisons an inevitable part of the conversation. For that reason there's a chance that second magazine might shelve their story for fall and do a 'Katy Perry's extraordinary year' kind of narrative.

I feel like the cover options are so weighted by Alexandra though. Here's a safe image (the one she wants) and here's a more directional one, but it's deliberately a bad one so you don't chose it.

You nailed it. I remember a similar situation in the Vogue UK documentary with the Kate Moss cover. One option was the grey studio background they chose and the other was the very directional one with Kate wearing the Union Jack on a field, that most of the staff wanted as a cover. I bet in the preferences survey they did the studio one was much more popular.

Thanks for posting these tigerrouge! The fist one is nice, although a bit on the drab side for summer.

Yes, thanks for posting, Tigerrouge! Lol, literally don't know anyone who would go with cover 2. So it's obvious which one will be published, which is the one she wants published. With atomic tangerine colour fonts, of course.

@Melancholybaby: I was quite shocked to find that Edie's final cover got lesser votes than the dark and dated one. But you're right about the Kate debate. I wonder, could they not have gone back to McDean and ask for more options? I'm sure there were other options. Sometimes this idea of not handing over the entire film to the magazine really sucks.

The fact that the second one was even considered as a cover speaks a lot about this magazine. The Kate and Edie cover trials are better than this one. This speaks of Ageless Style while she looks possessed. It could be mistaken for a poster for The Exorcist. Edward, I am hopeful

So nice to see the likes of Amber Valletta and Carolyn Murphy back on the cover of British Vogue, as Alexandra departs the magazine. I absolutely love the look of the first cover with Carolyn (kinda resembling Eileen Davidson). The styling is a real throwback to the early 00s and I'm all for seeing that cover on the shelves. Yes!

But time is running out. July is Carolyn, so there's only, what, 4 more slots open. Wonder which of her pets will get her final cover. I have a feeling it will be a highlight.
