I wondered why Alexa turned up in a Vogue.com video recently.

Meghan probably realises she'd be absolutely crucified if she appeared on the cover of UK Vogue, so it's better to play it safe for now, and limit yourself to talking about charity work.
 
It took YEARS before Kate Middleton decided to cover UK Vogue, and only during its anniversary. It was momentus as it was celebrating a British achievement — 100 years of Vogue.

Meghan appearing a year/or less for an uneventful issue is bad pr imo.
 
A bit more info on the Meghan for British Vogue thing - various outlets are reporting that she is actually guest editing the September issue, writing an opinion piece and opening the doors to her and Harry’s home along with photos of them that are supposed to be shot next week.

Not sure how I feel about this, Every good guest edited issue is by someone who has a strong personal style that can be translated into editorials etc (since it is still a fashion magazine), I don’t see Meghan having a strong style that could anchor guest editing. I’m all for expressing world issues and politics through fashion but in the way Franca did it, it keeps it exciting and still fashion forward while making a comment, I can’t see an issue with Meghan having this effect.

Another question is who would they put on the cover if not her?

I was thinking the same thing! Maybe a British model like Edie Campbell to play it safe? Or Adwoa again as she might share Meghan's causes?
Anyway.. I like Meghan but this Vogue thing does not convince me. I don't think it will help her.

I’m also a fan of Meghan and I agree with it not helping her, but I respect her for taking such a huge moment and platform to talk about issues that she believes in.

I’ve got my fingers crossed that maybe we’ll get a Meisel group cover, I’ve just been looking at the incredible covers of Vogue US that he did and it made me dream of another Group cover with the current it girls! I could see the cover being a model/s because Meghan being included will secure sales, so I assume this means the cover is less important in the grand scheme of things.
 
Why is Helena all of a sudden in such demand? She only just appeared on Grazia, there's that Colls shoot which must still surface, and now this.
 
As a Brazilian I love Raquel and I think she deserves 1000 more covers, even more because Brazilians don't give value to her in general... But since VP always uses the same models for me is still too early to see her again. We need to feel the space between covers!
 
Meghan's editor issue in British Vogue will have a shoot in Windsor around next week. I assume it's ones showing Harry and Meghan private life/home
 
I'm annoyed by the fact that she's guest editing but not covering. I mean hers is a good story to read, but that's it. I highly doubt she has a lot to bring to the table insofar as guest editing is concerned. Chances are she's guest editor by name/publicity and thats it.

I mean she clearly wants the cover, but clearly can't yet so she settled for less. Meh. Go big or go home, Meghan.

She was busy last year too.
She always has little niche project going on and maybe Shulman's comment had something to do with it too.
