Cover Rumor Thread

Upcomong 2010 Covers via fashionzag.
January 2010:
W - Jennifer Garner

February 2010:
Vogue - Jessica Biel

March 2010:
Marie Claire - Jennifer Garner and Jessica Biel

Wow. NONE of those excites me even a little bit.

But thanks tarsha for the info. Saves me getting any form of hope up! ;)

Jennifer Garner gets some covers. Jessica Biel gets some covers. How exciting:rolleyes:

I hate the way it's now become like a rite of passage for young actresses to get a Vogue cover. I mean it should be the prize of a select few - Vogue represents the very best (or at least most beautiful or stylish). The women who get Vogue covers, if not models, should be icons or icons-to-be. And an icon Jessica Biel is not. We can look back at vintage Vogues and be in awe of the sophistication and glamour they exude - the reactions of those looking back at the Vogues of today will be more along the lines of "who the *@^$ is Jessica Biel?"

There is so many great subjects to use, like January Jones, Carey Mulligan.etc

^Now this would be totally fantastic if ever. I hope Wintour will realize someday that January Jones is the "it girl" right now and that she would give her a cover! :) She's the hottest TV Housewife right now! (As dubbed by Interview Magazine) :)

It was posted a few days ago about Nick Knight shooting Lady GaGa, but I think this means it has nothing to do with Vogue, or any other publication. Her Facebook just posted this:

In a unique step, pop sensation Lady Gaga, pioneering image-maker Nick Knight and fashion filmmaker Ruth Hogben launch a one-off collaborative project, inviting the singer's fans to submit their own video imagery for inclusion in her 2009-2010 World Tour 'The Monster Ball'.

The inspiration is sharp, simple and brutal: the Apocalypse, symbolic of both destruction and rebirth. Lady Gaga, Nick Knight and Ruth Hobgen will select video imagery from the submissions, and the videos will then be spliced together and reinvented as exclusive imagery, played alongside Lady Gaga's spectacular live performances across the globe.

In line with new contributions, video pieces will be constantly re-edited and engineered as new submissions are received throughout the tour's 44-date marathon run, in a constant creative renewal.

So I think it must have been something to do with that project for her tour.

I can't wait for Allure and the new Spanish Vogue, and I'm not ashamed about admitting that.

How accurate is fashionzag? Jessica Biel doesnt sound like a likely choice. Has she ever been in the magazine..

I'm surprised we haven't seen more Sandra Bullock covers given that she has The Blind Side coming out. But she is getting Oscar buzz for the role, so if she starts working for that award, we could see a bunch of covers with her between now and March.

I think this so called Oscar Buzz is a myth perpetrated by the studio releasing the film. The reviews aren't even out for the film yet and let's face it, it's a sports movie about a down-and-out African American. We seems to get at least one or two of those every year and they're rarely (if ever) award contenders. I don't think she stands a chance for an Oscar when she's got Meryl Streep, Carey Mulligan, Gabourey Sidibe, Marion Cotillard, Abbie Cornish, Saoirse Ronan, Helen Mirren, and several others to compete against. She'll be lucky to score a Golden Globe nomination.

Well we have seen plenty of Sandra on covers this year, so far she had Glamour, InStyle, Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire. So i dont know what more covers should she have gotten, that already is (in my eyes) more than plenty for her this year!

^That was back in the summer though. I'm not saying she 'deserves' (whatever that means, when girls like Jessica Biel get Vogue covers) them, just that it would make sense for her to be on them right now, or in the immediate future.

KINGofVERSAILLES, maybe you should do a bit of a research before saying something like that. There have been quite a bit of extremely positive reaction to Sandra's performance. Most notably HR's and Variety's reviews which basically said that she'll be a force to be reckoned with this award season.

That looks like a 2010 calendar for Vogue Russia, but I'm not sure.
