Anyhow, last night I found a Sunday Times newspaper supplement from Feb 2006 that had an interview with Thandie Newton, who said she'd actually been lined up to feature on the front of UK Vogue around the time when she received a $6m offer to appear in Charlies Angels. She said when she turned that down (for family reasons) Vogue never called back.

To be pedantically precise, that Paris Vogue cover is the Dec-Jan 2002 cover, so it's even older than I first thought!

My confusion of the day comes from the articles that mention Katie Holmes on Bazaar without saying if it's the UK or the US version, now that both editions share the same name. At first I thought it was going to be the British one, as it seemed to be only UK newspapers that ran with the story, but with Posh now moving to the US and trying to break through, maybe this is all part of her American media masterplan... and much as I always love the contents, US Bazaar can come up with some weak cover choices.

And never mind that when there's the missing Vogue Italia - where the hell is it? At this rate, we'll be waiting for the March issue to come out some time around the start of summer.

Oh,Tigerrouge i think the Harpers Bazaar in question is Us,Victoria and Glenda were together at all Paris shows so i think its safe to assume that Katie will be on the Us cover.

It pays to socialize - or it did for the chief of Harper's Bazaar - one Glenda Bailey, a Brit who has become very American over the past 10 years, as she has shepherded the Hearst fashion magazine to prosperity. Its newsstand sales have increased, and it has grown by 30 percent.
The editor in chief was in Paris in October having dinner at Baccarat with Victoria Beckham and her very good friend Katie Holmes. Glenda suggested that Katie pose for a Bazaar cover and Victoria be the fashion stylist for her pal, the relatively new Mrs. Tom Cruise. Now it has all paid off.

There's Katie looking glorious on the March cover, as clicked by Peter Lindbergh. This is Katie's first interview since her big wedding in Italy, but I'm afraid if you are expecting any inside revelations from Katie, as told to writer Sarah Bailey, you'll be disappointed. She says things like, "I feel very lucky. I have a husband and children that I adore. I have a career that I really love. When I sit back and reflect, it's - wow! I am very grateful. Tom makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world and has since the day I met him. I love being with him. I love calling him husband."
Well, what do you expect of a 28-year-old new mother married to a movie legend and still basking in the glow of her honeymoon?

Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue preview...

About Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue:

Not sure if I was allowed to post this up in the main forum, so I'm putting it here: I saw a commercial today for Entertainment Tonight. On Monday (Feb 5) the show will do a segment about the upcoming Hollywood issue. Some of the pictures were gorgeous but I did not catch a cover, nor am I sure if they will preview the cover. But I wanted to let everyone know in case they are curious...maybe the pictures will surface on the internet before the show airs...who knows?

Anyway, I saw Helen Mirren, Kate Winslet, Edward Norton...I was going to keep going but I forgot the rest. Ha ha. It's very old school, 30s/40s glamour. I was quite impressed.
