Cover Rumor Thread

Oh ShanaLucas I am really sorry that you interpreted my use of that word in that particular way. That is definetly not what I was trying to say at all. If Ali, Kamila and Agnete are the newbies then they are the oldies aren't they? That comment of mine certainly has nothing to do with me objecting their age. That has nothing to do with the point I was trying to make. Les_Sucettes states exactly what I was trying to say...Really, if I came across as attacking them on their age then I really apologise, but I hope you realise that was not my intention and not my point at all. I hope this won't indeed lead to you losing respect for me as it would be based on something misinterpreted. I sure still have respect for you!

What is the old adage, esp in terms of fashion: "What's 'old' is new again." This is true for the likes of the lovely supers. Let's face it, they were and are still lovely and they alone took the ind. to new levels and in doing so making themselves stars in their own right.....even if it was a million years ago..... It's refreshing to see a model "old" or "new" on the cover of any magazine these days.....Cindy, Linda, Namoi, Christy, and Claudia will always be the super five....More than likely they will never be able to be replaced.

Dale, I have no choice but to take your post at face value and I sincerely apologize for misinterpreting you. However, I do disagree with Les_Sucettes statement: "No one is saying that this women because they are older... ", which based on some of the other statements in this thread (and throughout tFS), is an extremely false generalization of these opinions (um...'housewives'?).

Some of these older models haven't had a Paris Vogue or a blue chip campaign in years, and I'm happy for them. It proves that a model CAN keep doing what she loves...and it's opening a door that's been sealed for too long.

I wouldn't worry about them 'taking over'. Like I mentioned before, it would kill the industry and wouldn't make sense at all. But IF this is the beginning of a new inclusion of ages, colors and sizes on covers, I welcome this new change, especially if it means taking back some of the covers from the movie stars.

No worries, Dale, no repect lost, I still respect you very much, and love your work here. You help make the site exciting, fun and relevant. I thank you for your work in the past and continued work in the future.:flower:

In regards to Jourdan Dunn, what a shame. Is the Vogue Paris/Cindy Crawford a false rumor, too?

I wouldn't mind Toni, but I don't really like Karlie. I wonder if Tanya will ever get a VI cover :( I hope she does!

^^It's looking pretty doubtful IMO......I know she's worked with Meisel occasionally but I wouldn't say she's one of his favourites.

I read Ali Michael will be on Teen Vogue on June or July in an interview telling your Paris experience,....

Fabienne Vanderhaegenn has/is shooting and upcoming ocver of Italian Elle. Information from model_mom.

Yeah :( I think there are girls Meisel shoots only from campaigns, no editorials, like Jeisa, Tanya, Anja. They've never had an editorial shot by Meisel

One model that I would love to see on the cover of VI is Isabeli, but I doubt Meisel would shot her for a cover ...

Toni on Vogue Italia? That would be perfection and after all that bad issues, it's time for a good one

I doubt too, I think it was said here he doesn't shoot models that have been shot by another photographers for VI before him. She has worked a lot with Meisel before, editorials for Vogue US and campaigns but never VI. :(

Georgina Stojiljkovic also shot for Numero and she had a covertest as well, so fingers crossed :magic:

Yes :( But there's still a hope, we've seen Meisel shooting models for the cover that had already worked with a lot of photographers before, like Gisele for example ...
