Those are Impressive numbers from Gisele, she is evergreen and will always sell for Vogues. Meanwhile Rihanna, once again, underperforming on Vogue!! For a double issue that is really unimpressive, to me. Although it could be even worse ala Rianne. Not surprised there, what an awful cover. Kinda sad Valentina didn’t do better.

That's what I find most shocking! That none of the other girls could topple at least her August cover, which I didn't even thought would sell well with all that fake fur brouhaha. People must really like her, or maybe Miss Dalloway bought these issues in bulk just to spike her numbers!

Yes, no surprise about Rihanna. I actually expected worse, to be honest. It's still embarrassingly weak for a woman of her level.

Well, you also have to think that July/August are holiday months in the most visited country in the world. The majority of locals are on holidays and there are virtually millions of tourirsts. That August issue was just horrible.

I’m all for Madonna covering VI, but I just hope it’s not full of leather, crosses and etc that’s she’s been doing for the past 5 years straight with photo shoots.

Madonna is the definition of an chameleon when it comes re-inviting herself. No need to stick with the same.

As for Gisel in VP, if she keeps producing numbers like that on “slow” months, we’ll see her every year. Which I’m fine with because I think I was one of the few to actually love the faux fur August issue.

I think Rihanna would have sold more if they just stuck with one cover. Because when there is three covers, people pick up the best one and leave the ugly one sitting on the shelf

Cannot believe we might not only have to endure a Beyonce cover for September but now a Madonna cover for Vogue Italia? Give me strength!

Once again, I just do NOT understand the fascination with Madonna nowadays. Contrary to very popular opinion, Madonna's been redundant for years, her attempts to reinvent herself fall flat and not to mention how horrific she looks in that backstage video. She looks pathetic, is always styled in exactly the same way and Photoshopped far beyond her amateur Instagram photographs suggest whenever she's in Vogue.

Since is on beach in Portugal, I am counting to be for August issue.

It's going to be a shooting with regular collaborators and team of mag.

That preview of Madonna is precisely what I DIDN'T want to see yet again. She's laughable at this stage, much like the Insta comments underneath that video.

when she was in her english accented, more 'refined' era, no magazine captured her better than Vogue. For the last ten years or so her only Vogue covers have been for smaller editions and are all quite similar, with the aforementioned leather and extreme photoshop. Even though she's the eternal pop icon, i can't help but feel her star power has waned a bit in the past couple years, it feels like these sorts of covers are just catering to a shrinking group of die hard fans and not the general public anymore.

A bit? Lol. I'd say she's hit her expiry date a decade ago, easily, and I don't mean this in an ageist way. There's something to be said about giving the public a chance to actually miss you. Why not bow out gracefully like many of her peers and stop pushing herself into the limelight?

Maybe all the Kylie covers are leaving her rattled. Edward should just take it one step further and give September to Janet. Shot by Meisel. That ought to give her a decent bout of insomnia!

I don't care about her age, but given that Madonna was famous in part for her canny ability to reinvent her image on a regular basis, I don't understand why she's chosen to stay the same for a long time.

I assumed if she was to be shot she would appear in some kind of black underwear get up, with crucifixes and such. I find it all so painfully dull. She lost all ability to shock or surprise many years ago and whilst it can never be forgotten what a true force she once was and the legacy she has, modern day Madonna is mostly just a sad caricature.

In terms of Beyonce on US Vogue, I don't really have a strong aversion to her, I'm just very uninterested in her and the idea of reading about her. Photographically she's yet to ever really wow me either, so my expectations are rather low at this point. Especially after the beauty of Gisele's cover this month.

Has Beyonce alreadyshot her US September cover? I doubt it was done this early, especially since May was too crowded for her.

She was really busy with her tour rehearsals, finishing up her new album, shooting the tourbook/interludes in Jamaica and her video in Paris. Now she's on tour, I guess they could find a day where they can fly everyone to her wherever she is on a time she has 2 days off inbetween shows, but I'm sure she's still rehearsing, doing new costume fittings and so on.

The only time she really has "off" is between July 18-24 and that's when her tour is going from Europe over to the US.

I hope the results are something like her March 2013 cover, she looked gorgeous there.

I always root for Madonna, but these videos she is posting do not look promising.
