I apologize if this has already been discussed, but Michelle Obama is releasing her memoir next month. It is highly anticipated and she's doing a massive book tour. I'm not talking about signing books in Barnes & Noble, either. This is a sold-out arena tour, throughout November and December.

I can see her getting a major cover to coincide with this. December US Vogue? If not Vogue, Vanity Fair?

Red's got this odd obsession with Millie, I think this will be her second or third cover for them. Does my head in because they actually steer clear from reality people for most part.
Loved their cover featuring Emma Willis a lot. She looked so great, what a beauty.

Vanity Fair did a piece on Michelle Obama inside the magazine, so if she gets a cover this December - it's not that. Maybe Laura snagged her for InStyle, if Vogue is Emily Blunt? I doubt there'd be no cover.

Laura only snags whoever Anna don't want. Anna wouldn't have wanted Oprah, and she certainly never showed much interest in Janet. It's like she's afraid of poweful women of a certain age. Btw, how ridiculous is it that Janet is nearing retirement yet she never had a Vogue cover?? What's the story here. Instead we're inundated with an endless stream of Rihanna covers which consistently underperforms on the newsstand.

I'd like to see Emily Blunt on the cover more than anyone else. Surely Michelle can get the January fitness cover. This time without a SUP board.

How exclusive is that VF feature on Michelle? If it's very long with Leibovitz imagery then her chances of getting Vogue is pretty slim.

If Janet was ever gonna get a Vogue cover, it would have been at her peak 20 years ago. She may as well be dead, as far as Anna is concerned. Janet never embraced fashion, and fashion never embraced her. Vogue aside, I can't think of any really significant fashion cover she's ever done. Tbh, the Instyle cover is probably peak for her these days. Perhaps if she was still married to that Muslim guy, she might have snatched Vogue Arabia. That's never happening now.

i think Michelle might get Instyle. Laura Brown makes people seem v human, real and approachable.... If Michelle has a book to sell, this is the perfect fit.

I wonder how long it'll take Edward Enninful to give Kate Moss the cover of British Vogue? They posted about Kate's career transformations on Instagram the other day and I remembered her last was September 2017.

How amazing would it be to see Kate photographed by Steven Meisel for British Vogue? It would be fantastic to see Enninful persuade Meisel to shoot Kate (after all these years), like I'm sure he had to with Cara Delevingne.

I expect it will be much harder to persuade Meisel to shoot Kate. As far as I recall she ran her mouth about him more than once in interviews. With Cara it was only him being snobbish. Can only imagine how much begging and pleading had to take place before he agreed to shoot Cara. But it may well be doable with Kate, who knows.

Kendall actually stands less of a chance booking British Vogue than she did under Alexandra. No doubt Meisel will flatly refuse to shoot her, but it seems Naomi also can't stand her. In fact, I'm sure Kendall was part of the reason why Meisel refused to shoot Marc Jacobs' campaign a few seasons ago. Katie Grand will walk on eggshells to keep working with him.

I find Meisel's refusal to shoot certain models and celebs off considering he shot people like Chloe Grace Moretz, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore.

I think the landscape is changing, Benn. While Vogue is still seen as somewhat exclusive, other magazines seem to be doing much better, have a larger circulation and allow stars to have more control over the final input, i.e. personal stylist, photo approval and clearer on-brand messaging. Vogue seems to be trying to do this for some - Beyoncé, Lady Gaga - but not merging both worlds as successfully, if you ask me. So I wouldn't be surprised if more and more celebrities forgo Vogue for Nina's Elle or Laura's InStyle in the US market and Edward's Vogue in the UK.

One more thing - we all know Anna loves celebrity weddings and Priyanka wore a Marchesa dress to support Georgina to her bridal party this week, which reeks of Vogue PR. I wonder, could something for Vogue US be in the works?
