Cover Rumor Thread

Think we can safely assume the album announcement for TS will be arriving any day now. She’s not done UK Elle before, right?

Her first single off her next album will be released on the first week of March.

I've never seen her on British Elle. Which is odd. I thought I did, but then I just saw it was in fact Karlie, not her.

The next print issue of the now-biannual UK Glamour will be out on 7 March.

Glamour UK is Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams. Each have a solo. And there's a duo cover. They might be some of the worst magazine covers I have ever seen.

Sophie’s Solo doesn’t look too bad, however that pink wig on Maisie..

The pink wig on Maisie is making her look like the punk daughter of Helena Bonham Carter.

I actually like Sopie's cover from afar, but the pink wig is awful. Maisie is quite beautiful without the trimmings. A bit mean to style her like that next to Sophie. She looks like the younger, rebellious teen sister.

I picked up last month's Attitude magazine on impulse as it had the Dsquared brothers on the cover. But behold the April cover featuring a buff, hypermasc-looking lad.....how very groundbreaking for a gay magazine celebrating 'The Body Issue'. The Attitude staffers must live on Grindr.

A white, muscled guy on the pages of Attitude.... GROUNDBREAKING!!

I mean, ofcourse he looks good, but it's the body issue for god's sake. Could they not use someone else for the cover? Someone who does not have all the muscles but just feels comfortable in their own skin? The gay community is filled with body issues and insecurities and I think a magazine like Attitude should help with that and not just only feature guy with the exact same body type on their covers.

interesting that Glamour rebranded as a beauty brand and you go on their youtube and the beauty videos have views under 500.

Right? I'm just a bit surprised in the choice because based on last month's issue, they've tackled their content with a sense of social consciousness, which didn't mean heavily PC. Just that they were aware of the different demographics in the community. Yet now we have this, which, no problem with this skin colour. But to celebrate someone who's body is clearly his currency? And then you look at the type of body? Ok then. This sort of thing is the norm in the UK (gay community) though. I won't buy into it personally. I don't want my pounds associated with crap like this.

Re Glamour, I was as surprised when they've rebranded as a beauty book because that was never their strength. I don't recall an emphasis on beauty in certain issues even when they published regularly. Marie Claire probably could, since they still do the Prix De Excellence awards? Anyway, it made me wonder whether a magazine like Allure would've prospered in the UK. The market is ripe for that.

So, Vogue USA's April cover star is between Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande, right?
By the way, Ben Hassett shot ELLE USA's April cover. (Source: PFN)

^^^ oh I hope not!!!!! Give us a model cover instead. With a 15 page editorial. Thanks.

Very happy for Ben Hassett! Hope it will be Vogue Paris level, and not US InStyle level.
Despite doing more editorial work than most, he hardly ever gets the cover.

Between Demi and Ariana I reckon it will be Ariana even though I can't abide either.

I've bought the past two issues of US Elle purely for those gorgeous covers with Ashley Graham and Gigi Hadid, and I'll make no exception for the April issue with Taylor Swift if Ben Hassett does just as good a job as he's proven in the past when shooting for the likes of Vogue Paris and Harper's Bazaar.

And seriously uuuuugh at the thought of Demi Lovato on Vogue. How cheap! Poor girl has to relapse in her sobriety to land the cover of Vogue. No way would she have gotten the cover otherwise. Edward Enninful already did Ariana Grande (poorly), so would rather see American Vogue's take on something classic with Ariana than a Demi cover.

This is pure conjecture on my part, but I can't imagine Demi being willing to suck up to Anna or care too much about a Vogue cover. I am not too familiar, but I've got that impression about her. Doesn't she have kind of a "f*ck you" attitude? Getting in twitter fights and such? I'm not holding that against her at all, but I wonder if Anna would appreciate that. Plus does she have an album or anything to promote?

Pop culture's current saturation with Ariana Grande seems almost too big for Vogue to ignore. She has what, 3 hit songs on the radio right now? Breaking youtube records, etc. If one of them is getting the April cover I'd guess Ariana.
