Cover Rumor Thread

I don't find her "shocking" for a worldwide Vogue. I thought about Kim or Rihanna, but Anna doesn't put the same people months later since American Vogue stopped using fashion models for its covers. It could be Styles again or Lil Nas.

I still can't truly think of anyone who'd truly be shocking on a magazine cover in this day and age. Maybe Kate Bush.

Now that you mention it, if Edward could make that happen at some point, Kate Bush would be intriguing, because she's never sought celebrity, she's genuinely an icon, and also completely inoffensive at any given moment, given how respected she is.

This could be the return of Meisel to American Vogue or Anna will team another photographer for TC's story? Maybe Jennifer's cover took his place and US Vogue will be the exception. Her issue still so fresh.

If they were gonna have a man, Federer announcing his retirement would've been more "shocking" and cover worthy - ironic how both news come out the same day and can't help but feel like, outside social media stans, the latter will eat up the media interest/coverage for the rest of the week.

Timothee Chalamet is definitely not more shocking than Linda Evangelista x Steven Meisel collab this month.
It should be more controversial than that.

By looking the October cover awhile ago, I'm still baffled on why Edward would deem it as more shocking than a legendary supermodel's comeback.

Vogue Thailand's October 2022 cover star is Davika Hoorne (from Pee Mak) in an outdoor shot. A very cartoonish and over-the-top photo but I like color palette.

The only shocking thing to me is that everyone here got so caught up around Edward, who is quite the salesman, hyping his cover up in advance by calling it “shocking” and took him at his word. The cover is unusual, though, and a solo male cover subject likely would shock a small portion of the readership, so I don’t think Edward deserves too much criticism over his choice of words.

And I'm sure there will be a tribute to the Queen in the next month. October issue was already printed when the Queen passed away. Maybe you were right, is more likely to see Imelda as Elizabeth.

The queen Elisabeth II on the cover of Elle France 15th September.
It's a collector issue.

Behind the scenes of the making of how the issue was created but also how the news were posted on the website etc...

Do we think we'll see November's covers change to reflect the passing of the Queen? With the UK having put her on the cover earlier in the year, I wonder if they'll do it again. I can see maybe Harper's doing it, having not already featured here there.

I can see Vogue trying to get Camilla for a cover next year to align with the Coronation.

I wonder if magazines will do two covers . The one they had planned and shot and designed and then a limited queen cover?

Is there any reason why British GQ isn't dropping their October issue?

October is always the GQ awards issue isn’t it? So it’ll be because the event hasn’t happened yet I presume.

I know another Vogue has already booked a cover for her at the end of the year or the beginning of next year!
JLO announced a movie for January and the Vogue I mentioned is Vogue Spain.

Elizabeth Debicki had definitely shot a big cover, I believe US Vogue but not certain on that. It was a major one however.

They announced The Crown was coming early November - earlier than actually initially slated. It’ll be interesting to see if the covers still go ahead as I suppose it should be the November or at a push, the December issues.
