Cowboy Boots

I ended up buying those cowboy boots at Target after not being able to find them anywhere. :flower: I've broken them in, and I wear them everywhere. I haven't seen anyone in my city or anywhere around here who wears them.

I think that the big question (to me at least) is if they're going to become big this fall/winter. Hopefully not. I love my boots too much to sacrifice them to a trend! ;)

are cowboy boots still a big trend? for how long do you think?

I love the cowboy boots trend. I got it from my sister first. She had this really old, vintage pair of cool cowboy boots for years and now they're finally in style! Yeah babY!

^ well, where i live in maryland ive never seen anyone wear cowboy boots even last winter when they were pretty big. but were not exactly the fashion capital of the world, so we are VERY slow with trends.

but now that chain stores like nordstrom and target sell them i would say that they are gonna be HUGE this fall/winter. and as somebody mentioned before, now that limited too sells them, i think it would be best to give them a rest for a while

Yeah, I like that whole boho-chic look with the urban dress, vintage belt with matching bag and cowboy boots.. It looks great but we see to much of it nowadays... time for something a bit more original... time to trend-set!! Haha!

Uggs weren't big here , last year .I hope I'm not seeing cowgirls everywhere this year .

No. Unless your style icon is Nicole Richie/Ashlee Simpson/Lindsay Lohan

I went to Los Angeles a few weeks ago and a bunch of girls in designer stores were wearing them- and I got a bazillion compliments on mine! I was pretty shocked to see so many people react to me like I was trendy-- in LA. HA!

And then I returned home to Oregon, where people actually YELL at me from across the street that they like my boots. So far I think I've seen maybe two or three girls wearing them, and they're all viewed as super trendy. I think they'll be really big in fall, and, like UGGS, HUGE in winter and spring. So I'll wear mine until Christmas and then sell them and spend the rest of my life gagging while the rest of my school (20,000 kids on campus) ride the wave. And ride it. And ride it. And ride it.

These are mine-- vintage on eBay. I haven't seen another pair anywhere that I like as much as these:

Oh yeah I know. I live in MD as well, RIGHT outside DC. And I think now that cowboy boots are available to the masses tons of people are going to be wearing them this f/w. Along with those motorcycle boots that I got ages ago and are in love with. Damn. I hate wearing what everyone else is wearing.

R cowboy boots still cool for guys?

R cowboy boots still cool for guys? I love my cowboy boots, maybe I'm a cowboy at heart:D. But its time to move on. I LOVE boots, all types. I would love your opinions of what other style of men's boots look hot. Cheers...

hehhe, then there are those who are still living their youth........ :D

I know in Texas right now, it's just now becoming a big trend (even when this thread was started in March). I see those things everywhere I go!
Although I didn't like them at first.. they're beginning to grow on me

Even the trend following crowd (aka girls who dress at Guess, Miss Sixty) say they're out..... so ..... :ninja:

Cowboy boots are still popular here, but I'm talking ACTUAL, classic cowboy boots... nothing trendy. I live in a ranching area, so cowboy boots have been worn here for years and probably will be worn here ever after. These boots are made for ranching in, not for style. ^_^

You will never see high heels, frills, etc. on the cowboy boots around here.

I believe there are two types of cowboy boots users, the ones that have worn them forever and always will, and the ones that wear them whenever it's trendy.. and when it's not really trendy anymore, but they just don't get it..

I have nothing against the first group, but I do have the ones that wear pink fake leather cowboy boots...

I live in Ireland - our fashion trends are the same as the UK. Cowboy boots were huge here last year but there are very few around now. The winter boots that are in the high street stores this year are all round toe (like Chloe) boots with buckles, I think the cowboy boots are over - pity as they are very comfortable for day.

Hotpinky - you're round toe boots are really lovely.

Bah, I'm still going to rock my mums old boots. I love them, so comfy, and gorgeous :p
