Daily Exercise

15 minutes on my new trampoline
50 sit ups
25 lunges
10 push ups
50 butt excercises (seriously don't know what else to call them)

^I have to start that again tomorrow

did yoga today

I need to do some post holiday damage control asap:shock:

Yesterday I went to the gym and did lots of stuff... ran for 1.5 miles, and walked for .5 mile, lifted, sit-ups, and rowing. I think that's it.

I'm so lazy, I never do anything... I'm thinking of getting a dog to inspire me to go run/walk every day.

Today I went to the gym again and did 1.5 miles running, .5 miles walking briskly, lifted, and rowed.

It's my rest day - but I like 'active' rest so I went for a lovely brisk 20min walk in a sunny spell :-)

Yesterday I took a nice brisk walk for about 30 minutes. Today it's snowing and I forgot my boots in my boyfriend's car, so I won't be able to get much exercise outdoors, but I am about to do some butt lifts, push-ups, and sit-ups. ;)

its raining so I stayed inside and did 40 mins of crunch pilates and cardio plus some extra situps.

Thursday:
Walked fast on incline 4-8% for 5 miles, did 1 hour yoga
Friday: Ran 5 miles at varying speeds of 6.0, 6.5, 6.2
Today: off to a 1.5 hour ashtanga class and hour walk

I've been sick so I've mostly been laying on the couch these past 2 days... But every so often I'll get up and do some push-ups, just to get the blood pumping. I think I did about 30 yesterday total. :p

I have really "flabby" arms and i want to make them smaller. Will pushups help? or wil that just make them bigger?

People always tell me "Girls aren't built like guys, so girls won't get big like guys do when lifting". I think this is true for most people. Some girls WILL get bigger, but I think that's if they are lifting a lot of weight. If you keep the weights fairly light, you'll get toned not big. The key to non-flabby arms is a variety of lifting exercises (including push-ups). You have to work your triceps (the muscles on the back, which usually are the cause of the flabbyness) and the muscles on the front (biceps). You should try a variety of workouts for your arms and shoulders. This may sound like a lot, but once you get going it's not bad. ^_^ Pick up a magazine such as SHAPE or Fitness. They usually have some good exercises for arms.

Thankyou! im always so scared to do pushups because i don't want to bulk up

You won't bulk up - I introduced some push-ups on the ball to my routine and found them really good for arms and pecs :flower:

Women don't have the levels of testosterone necessary to really bulk up. Your muscles will increase slightly, and if the layer of fat covering them isn't decreasing in tandem, you may appear slightly bigger. I'm pear shaped and have to be very careful to use absolutely no incline/resistance on cardio machines or my thighs do seem to get bigger :( It's a complete catch 22 situation, damn my genes!!
