Daily Exercise

This thread is motivating me to go for a run tomorrow. I love it, haha! :)
I hope I'll feel this way tomorrow after school also...
 
i used to be so focused and disciplined with the gym but now my mind is on other things. i gotta get back in there!

im going after class today because school is closer to the gym than from home, once im there then im good.

its still a little boring to do treadmill/elliptical but i need to focus on cardio right now.

oh yeah my gym partner(sister) doesnt go to the gym anymore or at least she hasnt gone in a couple of weeks! :( *le sigh*
 
Some cures for boredom, that ive heard about and searched for are:
Podcasts.
Audio books.
Learn a new language.
Plan of accountability.
Maybe change routine to something you love doing.
Variation/ Maybe limited time doing one kinda exercise, then on to next.
TV.
Thinking time.
Meditation.
Competitive edge.
More than one gym partner.
Music/ Own mixes.
Set goal, and pin plan on fridge/ Or in Diary.
Reward system.
Have seen/ heard of people reading, or flicking through magazines etc. Not sure on that one...:unsure:

By the way, anyone have any exercise superstitions?

Today:
Warm up, stretch.
Twelve sets of dumbbell bench press.
Four sets of pull overs.
Four sets of dumbbell flys.

i definitely need to update my ipod.
always always wanted to buy audio books but they are so expensive but i have a tendency to zone out haha ..'wait what happened?!'
i saw a guy reading a magazine on one of the bikes, the one that you can sit back on..something about 'Going Green' hehe but i dont like those bikes because i dont feel like im working hard enough.

i think im going to try to break it up a little in order to not get bored. not stay on one machine too long and then go back to it later. before my goals were different like i would do 2 hours minimum on the machines(doesnt matter how long i was at the gym, my work had to add up to 2 hrs), so & so many miles, this many reps etc..damn i was hardcore. now i feel like im pressed for time with finals so i try to get as much miles etc in the least amount of time possible.

lots of people at the gym today! they made me kinda uncomfortable with their staring lol normally i dont care but today i was really just thinking to myself..oo f*ck off! meh i dont know, just gotta deal with it. *f*ck itttt*

so i moved on to elliptical
did 3 miles on that and was done for the night, left at 11:15pm

oo exercise superstitions?! i cant wait to hear the responses on that. i dont have any yet.

anyone have gym pet peeves?
- seeing girls decked out for gym, tons of makeup(but i know its normal for some people or maybe they just came from work or something), wearing long hair down while doing cardio..i have to wonder if its hot for them..then again they tend to not exert much effort..
- people who talk so loudly to their friends that i can hear them through my head phones, loud & clear
- this one my sister saw, some lady sneezing into her hand and then continuing to touch the machines like nothing happened..i heard it was a nastay sneeze too. its. so. groady.
 
There was a girl on my gym, with about my age...I dunno if she still there, she had a long brown hair, a awesome hips really, and she was hot on almost every exercise, my fav exercise that she used to do it´s the hips machine.

And I already saw lots of guys at the gym reading mags with celez news and stuff like that.

I went running for the first time in about a month last night. It was only for about 15 min, but I'm happy to report that the knee is pain-free! I am now, however, inspired to reach 72 laps after reading about everyone swimming!!
 
^^^^:woot: Tomorow I will try to do 50, I dont care I will try to eat a lot in the afternoon...I have to count the laps correctly because sometimes I do like 8 laps for the warmup and I dont count these laps.
 
I've been doing a lot of side benders to help my love handles area. ^_^

I feel it working. I can see it working. :brows: HERE I COME, SUMMER!
 
I will do my preparation for the summer only in June:ermm:...I will hit very hard the gym. So for now it´s just swimming^_^

Did a quick search for free audio books, there seems to be a few.
In UK, im sure our libraries have them...?? Not in Ca'?

Gym pet peeves:
Glad i don't use Gyms much anymore.
Granted, there are advantages. But, peoples hygiene leaves alot to be desired sometimes....:shock:
Equipment waiting times.:rolleyes:
People staring.:blink:
People coming to chat, when you got "X" amount of kilos above you.....:huh:
I mean, is that really the best time to discuss the weather, and such! :p
Maybe i should wear a T shirt saying, "Do Not Disturb .....Already Disturbed."

Today:

Warm up, and stretch.
Eight sets of barbell curls, increased weight on last four sets, integrated with eight sets of standing barbell French press .. Increased weight on last four sets.
Four sets of standing overhead dumbbell extensions.
Four sets of tri-cep dumbbell kick backs.

^^ Advantages by going to the gym is: there´s always someone helping you, telling you the right exercise, what to do, the Per. Tra. of the gym can tell you by looking at you if you have all the muscles with the right size accordling to the others muscles and you meet new ppl:flower:
 
i usually do a 45 min workout. runner lunges/squats/one legged squat/leg lifts...

perfect for the legs & butt.
 
i dont have time for gym tonight :(
i told myself i had to finish studying at least chapter by tonight..i still have three more chapters after this ..and then another class to study for in the coming days.

its so unfortunate because im going to the pool this weekend..which means i should hit the gym pretty hard.

hopefully tomorrow i can get a lot studying done then go to gym after my lab.

Can I ask which exercises are u doing four love handles area?
Which exercise do u find most effective for you behind? I can't seem to find it :D. Tnx :flower:
Anyeay, 5km run yesterday and some ab workout.
