Daily Exercise

I walked the dog for 20 min today, did zilch yesterday and Wednesday I did 45 min on the treadmill, a bunch of crunches and jumping jacks.
I wish I could go back to swimming but my neck pain from a car accident about a year ago is coming back with a vengeance and it hurts too much. :(

today, 1 hour elliptical, light weight training for the arms.

Thank you Filipe! I hope my neck gets better too, it's hard to sleep on one side now. I feel like a granny sometimes!

You're so lucky to be swimming, I love it, it's so good for you too. Keep up the good work!:flower:

Ah I really hope you recover really fast to swim again.

Thank you so much for your kind words:flower:

^ Do you swim anywhere else other than the pool? My coach wanted me to swim the Tiburon mile, they drop you off at Treasure Island and you have to swim out and around back into the harbor. I couldn't do it, I was too afraid of the cold. I was thinking about doing a lake swim, it might be a little warmer and safer (no sharks!) lol.

no, I have never swum in other place than a pool...I guess I have to try to swim in a lake someday:)

a 4 hour walk through london in the middle of the night yesterday must count as something, not part of my daily exercise however.

30 minute lower body workout on butt and hamstrings and calves (still killing me)
Ran 5 miles
100 crunches.

Havent seen you around in awhile, ChrisDesigner. Hello! :flower:

Hiya LetThemEatCake. :flower: Great to see your still working hard. B)

Traffic is a mixed blessing. It is a threat to life and limb but mixing it up on a six lane surface highway with traffic lights and turning lanes at rush hour can be a thrill. It makes me go faster. I have crashed three times in traffic but all three times it was my mistake and no other vehicles were involved.

I imagine road cycling anywhere in the UK in winter must be a challenge. I'm also guessing it will make any rider tougher for it.

Im finding my way. Things seemed easier this week. Im amazed that i can complete the journeys, compared to driving, in a respectable time. Im convinced that i can go quicker, and the plodder im using , im thinking will help, when i get a more appropriate bike.
Im also amazed at how competitive people are. If i pass someone else riding, within a few feet i can look back, and there going at a quicker rate. :woot:
Traffic as you say is a mixed blessing. Im able to filter in better, and feel more confident at holding my ground.

Damn.....no six lanes here, not close anyhow. :(

^ Thanks! I think I'm going to have to start physical therapy again so hopefully that will help a lot. I just take a lot of Advil and hope to get through it.
I'll see what the doctor says about swimming when I go back.
Keep up the great work everyone! :)
