Daily Exercise

24 Feb - Shoulders and biceps
25 Feb - Circuit training (I'm so tired now, I'm about to collapse!)

congratulations!!! that's an amazing feeling, isn't it??!! good job!!!

you motivate me to head to the gym now!

Oh yay :) Up to date I've lost an extra four pounds since my last post.. or so the scales say but it fluctuates because I'm also doing weight training and building up lean muscle :) :flower:

I did an hour of bike ridding, an hour of pilates and aerobic stuff (legs, arms, abs, butt) and a half an hour of hoola hoop :)
I love getting up and exercising, it feels so good to have a good suet. (it's written like that?)

i hadn't done sport for the past 10yrs (approx.) ....
:innocent:
:ninja:
....

i have gone back swimming (used to be national competitor, though i stopped after one season .... :D)
since the past couple weeks i go back 4 times a week (used to train 6/7 2-3hrs a day) ....
omg it was pretty hard at the beginning .... but what a feeling to swim again ... i totaly missed it !!!
i only do 1hr or 1hr1/2 for the moment ...

rode my bike around town for about 30 minutes total. Yesterday was my gym-day.

And I don't know if this is the right place to ask or if there's another thread on this, but I was wondering how you guys balance cardio and weights in the gym? Because right now I usually do it half/half. Like 45 minutes on the treadmill/elliptical and 45 minutes of weights (all the torture-machines basically...arms, legs, butt, stomach etc.) but a lot of people in my gym seem to focus mainly on cardio...so what about you?

I have terrible big calves due to lots of running when I was little, is there ANY WAY i could possible make it smaller, help pls !!

Cycling made my calves and thighs thinner. Important note: my regular cadence is around 100 rpm.

Objectives?

I used to like the idea of pre exhaustion, therefore used cardio sessions to gain this. But it detracted alittle from my goals.
There has been some discussion previously , here on this thread concerning this subject. But in short, i found it best to completely split the routines, as per advice of some training camps.
So although i strength train, and incorporate cardio now, each day( 5/6 days strengh/ 6 days cardio.), i allow for rest, and fuel.:D

My wife cut her hair really boyish short because she wanted to be more comfortable in the helmet. I think she has caught the bug.

1 Mar - Shoulders, triceps, abs

Aching like crazy now, but I feel so good!

I run, 5 km. in 30 minutes

When it was warm out I used to do that every day, not the exact time but the same distance pretty much.

I used to run cross country and my best 5 km was 19 mins, that is about average, but my friend who was one of the top in the state on the team ran 5 km in 16 mins and 10 seconds.

I remember when we used to warm up for our 5 km, warm ups were usually 1.5 miles but a little slower, his warm up pace was so fast compared to mine it was faster than my race pace by a little.

All in all cross country was good, but man that was one of the more physically demanding sports I've done, with the training you gotta do if you don't want to be behind the pack, let alone like my buddy.
