Once again, I am asking what the HELL are those brand execs thinking with these less-than-lukewarm collection previews on celebs at photocalls?! Every single time it's been a let down: from JWA's womenswear, to Louise Trotter's BV in Cannes and now this?! You really think you're building up buzz and excitement by showing... Julia Roberts in a navy blazer and jeans?? That could be from literally anyone?? It's time for all of them to WAKE THE HELL UP You're not going to generate anticipation or buzz from ANYONE by introducing your designer's vision in that way.

Painful to watch, and yet another sign that this industry is going to sink until execs realise they and their CD must provide something fresh and/or exciting to whoever they expect to spend 3-4K EUR on a piece of clothing.

If you do safe RTW, then develop your brand's visual language like crazy, be bold with styling, whatever you do have a point of view that's differentiating in an oversaturated market.

People aren't going to run to Versace to look like they came straight out of Massimo Dutti.

At this point, I’m willing to give Peter Dundas another chance. I think his taste level is still there, he just needs proper atelier and budget to create.

i have no words on the tailoring and cheap, basic construction of that Versace gown julia Roberts is wearing. It’s drab. Did they waste all the money on paying her and save nothing to create her looks.

That dress is awful. The color is beautiful but it's extremely unsexy. The front especially is stiff and dowdy. It very much looks Prada trying to do Versace.
