Dario Vitale - Designer, Creative Director of Versace

Today it's his first day at Versace, first thing he will probably in charge of is discussing with the team about the FW25 ad campaign (brands usually shoot campaign 1-2 months after the show). Let's just hope cooked and burnt Mert Alas and Jacob K's obnoxious styling are out...are we ready to see Versace styling by Lotta Volkova?
What if they decide to skip the seasonal campaign and focus on a heritage / permanent ones, like the flop ones with Anne and Cillian? So many questions...

love Cillian and Anne but I absolutely despise them in Versace, they are so out of place there…

The Fw campaign has been shot last week in London by Mert Marcus with Donatella. They also had a dinner with all the models in the campaign (you can see all of them in Donatella’s post). It includes Claudia Schiffer, Natasha Poly, Amber Valletta, Mica, Kate Moss etc.

I guess she Did Not have a swan song collection but instead a swan song ad campaign...

First image of the new direction, don't know if it's already by Dario,but the fact that they erased their instagram before posting the campaign makes me think it's by him. Definitely a change, it's not styled by Jacob K...
It's crazy the difference with the picture that comes immediately before this of Claudia...

I remember it happened something similar with the very first campaign by Alessandro Michele for gucci, wich was for a pre-fall by Frida, shot by Glen Luchford under his direction.

Very sad and depressing...Laura Ponte was a great model back in the 90s...but now she looks the opposite of it. And she is not a Versace woman at all.

This is NOT looking good for versace so far, photography alone.

But the image was already like this. Before the acquisition by Prada group, they already hired the art director who worked at Prada for their head of art director. Since, the images were already like this except the main campaign which is done by agency.

The only info we can know is the designer is working with new stylist, and I’m not sure the stylist is a good choice.

This is not a bad image but I can't realistically see this woman being or going anywhere. Where would you be, dressed like this? Not to the boardroom, not to the shops, certainly not to dinner. Puzzling.
