Dario Vitale - Designer, Creative Director of Versace

Thoughts?

Hint of separate creative direction for menswear and womenswear? Are they gonna follow the LV route with NG and Pharrell? I don't think they can afford that at the moment.
Hedi is free at the moment but there's no way he could get along with the Bertellis LOL
Riccardo is burnt and kinda cancelled.
Olivier might be a pleasant surprise if he goes back to his early Balmain's era roots. Balmain SS13 was more Versace coded than the trainwreck from Dario honestly.

I don't understand why people are sad for Dario. We got an Ancora 2.0 situation right in front of our eyes and the only one who benefitted and took advantage from this whole drama is Dario himself. He got a huge resume boost with the experience from Versace, built connections within the circle, explored the Versace archives. He was clearly not the right person to revamp Versace and we've been saying that since the news of his appointment. Same as Ancora. They got their bags and resume boost and that's all. We can move on. He's not going to become homeless guys, he got Versace compensation and his partner makes good money as a financial advisor, they own a nice house in Milan.

Cheap in what way?
Clearly his life on social media.
Bertelli's have always been very discrete. They don't want someone who uses IG as a Grindr backup posting thirst traps, liking posts from gay p*rnstars and hanging out with onlyfansers...
Riccardo is as burnt as a Thanksgiving turkey.
Let's get Alexandre Vauthier instead.

As much of a dumbfuck Prada is, let's not pretend that Dario's Versace was any good. That man litterally sent personnified STDs down a runway and called it a collection.
At least STDs are proofs of live, medal from the f*ck battle.
The previous one was in ICU and respirator.

I wanna know how all the pretentious fake "intellectuals" from the fashion circle (buyers, stylists, etc.) are going to defend him now. The paid influencers couldn't care less cause they forgot about the collection as soon they got their checks and left the venue LOL
"The show was so strong and polarizing it reminded of Gucci's Michele debut" YEAH RIGHT.
Now I wonder if that trainwreck of collection actually goes into production.
If I were Bertelli I would scrap EVERYTHING Dario Vitale designed, make a small capsule a la Demna "La Famiglia" for spring summer and focus immediately on the design of a decent bag. Not only Dario's RTW sucked, the accessories were terrible too with those Longchamp knock off totes with Medusa head applique.

What is "c*nty aesthetic" supposed to mean? The tacky 2000s collections Donatella did when she was high as kite?
I hate how this word is overused to mean sexy now. Probably it's what they mean, work of Donatella in 2000s will be mined and directly pulled, referenced to death most likely... as it was done with TF at Gucci

By the way, this is the aesthetic Dario was pushing.
This is resort collection from the studio but the styling / photography is under Dario's vision.
You have a Demna Balenciaga draped fluid A line dress paired with Prada kitten heels.
If he had thought this would have worked then it means he's dumb.

How was Dario pushing this aesthetic if, as you literally note, the design is from the studio? At best, he was trying to bridge an already-designed resort collection with his own vision for the brand. We saw from his debut that he was presenting something quite different (and bad!), so it seems sort of silly to blame him for the distinct badness of the studio. The logic just doesn't line up.

Bertelli replied: "When Dario gave his resignation, we tried to hold him where he was. This was his decision. We had no consultancy role, and we got no commission!"

I'm confused, why would a company get a commission if an employee leaves to work elsewhere? Did he leave before his contract was up or something?

his contract was not up they asked him to stay when he noted to be leaving it was Darios decision as Prada son said .... the commision i think it has to do with the acquisition disclosure ....its not like that in a normal leave with non compete.......its technical stuff.

it's over now .....i want to know who they had or have in mind and the actual direction planned .
