i don't actually mind the cover myself....the pose,the emotion coming through in her expression,the simplicity....it's very haunting to me,which you don't often get with fashion mags. i also would assume it's also intentional as her character in the film is that way so i think they wanted to play on this attributes since she's promoting the film.

I actually like the fact that she's not looking straight into the onlooker's eyes. It's disorienting, it's definitely attention-catching even if it's not pleasant to look at.

I agree. It makes it a little different and fits the mood of the photo.
