Dazed & Confused September 2010 : Dakota Fanning by Mark Segal

All editorials are pure brilliants, certainly the best September's issue so far.

Very pretty cover, its simple which I think some can interpret as boring but I don't think its boring at all!

Agreed, straightforward does not necessarily equate to boring in my opinion. Like-wise for the Bande à Part editorial, in spite of the black and white and the simplicity of the photography, it's refreshing while being very inspirational. Alley Cats and World Clique don't stand out but they're still pleasing, thumbs up for casting sensational rising stars such as Julia and Caro

went through this today, jacquelyn's edit is truly gorgeous! :)

Quote:

Ford’s Tayane Leão features in the September 2010 issue of Dazed & Confused in an editorial called “The Outsiders” photographed by Sharif Hamza and styled by Robbie Spencer. The editorial of course borrows its name and some of its teenage angst from the 1967 novel of the same name by S.E. Hinton and the later motion picture adaptation by Francis Ford Coppola in 1983. Set to a darker, grittier M.A.T.H.E.S. remix of Let’s Wrestle‘s “We Are the Men You’ll Grow to Love Soon” Hamza’s component video adaptation of the magazine editorial turns the boredom and listlessness of the printed page into violence and wanton destruction. A baseball bat swings at a lamp. A television is tossed onto carpeted flooring. And cigarette after cigarette is lit for what looks like the first time by ever younger faces. In the midst of the demolition Tayane, in her Uniqlo socks, Converse trainers, and pale blue Benetton polo, looks the only source of calm.

this issue seems too good!

i think i only like the cover because i like dakota so much. but bande à par is gorgeous and the outsiders looks to have some serious potential.

The Dakota editorial is kind of blah.
I love the aged look it has, but that's about it.
The other eds are impressive though. ^_^

I just love "The Outsiders" ed. And the video too! The styling is great throughout this whole issue.

The cover is good nothing thrilling but I like the quiet mood.
On the contrary the contents are truly fantastic.
