Guys Milan Fashion Week starts in one week, is there any confirmation whether the debut gonna be a real fashion show or just a random look book presentation?
The speculations from the previous weeks were contradicting each other lol

The new boss in charge said it will be a video. So probably a showroom will be set too.
It’s a way to reassure the market and see if it’s well received before the big first show in March.

But things change so much in fashion that they can also decide to organize a show. They have the space and everybody will be in Milan so who knows.

Like @Lola701 said, the collection will be presented via a film and probably a showroom on the side. Saying that, they could easily do a show last minute. The venue for Sabato's debut was redone in a day due to heavy rain, so the same could happen here.

I don’t think they’re doing a show.
To my knowledge they’re holding big events in the major markets. NYC being one

- video and showroom ( teams are even traveling for research round the dates prior ) lol
- they shot the video in LA early august the cost of that is already a million +
- for a collection already produced by the factories /suppliers to be sold days after in 50 stores
- the gossip/scepticism on the products where already around among the suppliers/factories
- the design and resources are focused on the next collection already before sept

clear thinking says:
- the new ceo is known for cutting cost, you think he will give green light to last minute show?
- knowing demna he will want to do some immersive set to distract form the basic clothes lol
- with a full season of newcomers and the time to get product out this capsule drop makes more sense to fill stores with new design direction items.
- gucci is bleeding bad selling has priority and the count on buzz of first presentation to drive direct sales days after

first demna collection at balenciaga was also a (pre fall) capsule as look book...... not a full show

I think he would be smart to refresh his ambassadors and casting. I appreciate him having muses but some are a bit insufferable and used too much like Eliza and that blonde fake Tilda lady.

I’m seated and ready tbh. They are smartly not giving everyone anything except the smallest crumbs of info which compared to the others could pay off. I do wish it was a show but as you mentioned Balenciaga started with a look book that then became a wildfire.

its normal for a big brand to have official slot so people have time to come see drink talk and leave the event :-)

On the official calendar is clear said that Versace will have a private event to show Dario’s first collection. Instead Gucci have a pressence on the show schedule…let’s wait and see

all i can say is from what i know :-)
that they leave it up to internet to keep guessing is also on purpose to not disclose the event on the calendar is up to the discretion of each brand.

good luck to them spending money on a ..... and well known .....and then waste more money to put on a show for a collection that will drop in only 50 stores great way to start in a overcrowded fashion month full of big debuts with rtw looks that are commercially intended to sell days later.

at this point i hope they do a show secretly organized with his small team and the film is running as backdrop lol, just so internet & his fans are happy.

the new ceo of the group said also its a video presentation if that's his way of starting in the luxury business to spread fake info i doubt his career choices and ways of communication, even if his reputation seems to say he is straight forward.
