Denim shorts

I love jean shorts in the summer & spring. I can't do them in the fall or winter where I live unfortunately.

the cut off shorts by Erin Wasson for RVCA are really nice.
But they are out for Spring 2009.
And isn't to light on the pocket.

I hate to say it but Abercrombie & Fitch has some great denim shorts, granted they are a bit short but I like them.

I still really really want denim shorts, I just can't find any in Denmark...and I can't find jeans in my size in second hand shops, wtf?

I think Siwy denim has the best denim shorts hands down. They don't make you look fat and are cool and worn in. I just got the Madeleine in Charm (light with holes). I'd post some pics from siwydenim.com but I am not sure how to take the pics off the site.

I have tons of denim shorts. I get them from Old Navy, Forever21, Charlotte Russe and Target.

I wear them a lot during the summer.

i'm also a huge fan of denim shorts from the cheaper end of the spectrum. i hesitantly bought a pair of white denim shorts from Urban Outfitters the other year and they've become my pair of go-to shorts.

I like denim shorts aswell, although I haven't bought a pair. I find old loose jeans and cut, fray and rip them.

It seems like all of the denim shorts I find are stretchy/tight fitting/really short. The only pair I have that aren't are a Guess Jeans pair.... does anyone know where I can find denim shorts that hit about mid-thigh, loose fit, but still with a tight waist (meaning: i can't just buy a larger size)?

I've seen some lovely ones in Topshop cant buy any yet until my baby comes. I'll feel terrible just starting at them!!

Ida, you should chek out TopShop. Just bought a pair with button flap in the front in a light wash.

Thanks! I'm ordering online tomorrow, I found a pair that looks nice... But I'm not too sure about the sizing. I once tried a pair of Topshop shorts on in size 8 (I'm normally size 36), and I couldn't even get them past my hips

^Makes sense, I'm a regular 38, and I fit a size 12 in TopShop denim. 29 inches in the waist. I think their sizing charts are way off (to the small side) compared to H&M, Primark or Zara.

These are perfection

I wish i could customise properly, I've attempted converting old jeans to shorts, but couldn't get the length right on both sides, before i knew it i has a very indecent pair of denim knickers.

The best pair of denim shorts I have are from Diesel, but if you are on a budget Topshop are great

i love this trend. i'm going to get a pair of slouchy destroyed ones in a light wash, and maybe a pair of regular cuffed ones in a medium wash?
i'll probably give them an edgier, more rocker vibe.

My advice: hit up goodwill, find an old pair of men's Levi's (red tag only), and cut them up. I've reworked five pairs now, and they're all so unique. I'm not so sure it's a trend; they're always around. They're just finally getting more love than usual. But this is always a wonderful look.
