VERY VERY Disappointing LVR experience!!

Hi Girls, I've been offline for months now as I've just resurfaced after moving back to Australia from Hong Kong.

I wanted to sob over my very sad LVR story, which goes as follows:

On x date (about 6 weeks ago), I received an email from LVR to say that my order for the green Hildegarde needed to be redone as they were having a problem with fraudulent credit card activity.

In the email they requested that if I wanted the bag I would have to make a wire transfer for the amount by 'x' date.

PROBLEM ONE! 'x' date (by which I had to pay the transfer) was the exact date of the email which requested the transfer.
PROBLEM TWO! I had to let the bag go, as I couldn't possibly transfer $ from Australia to Italy within 6 hours!! So, I advised them to cancel the transaction (very dismally)
PROBLEM THREE. I then received an email back confirming the cancellation, BUT going on to say that I should recieve my CREDIT CARD REFUND within 20 days (or thereabouts). Hang on...they had already debited my credit card????? I checked, and sure enough, the amount had already been taken of my card!!

So, I emailed them to ask them what the &*(&(*& was going on - to NO AVAIL!! They could not explain why they would request a cash wire transfer to be completed on the same day as the request, NOR exactly why there was a problem with my credit card when in fact I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR IT!

I am so angry I havent been able to bring myself to talk about it, and since i've seen the exact bag on the arm of Lindsay Lohan et.al, I can only suspect that they actually took the bag away from me pursposely to enable somebody more important to have it.

I am absolutely disgusted with LVR, my first and only experience with them. I want people to know about this, as they are obviously failing in the credibility as a decent online store.

My credit card has finally been refunded (with no interest repayment to me). Chances for me of now getting this bag in Australia. NIL.
 
so sorry about that! its a beautiful bag....but just know I have seen it....its beautiful....but the bag empty weights at least 5 pounds. if you really want one...there are a few in the USA.....pm me if you need help!
 
morriseel, sorry to hear about you LVR experience!
I got the same story from LVR last time, I placed an order with them for the Persephone in ox-blood using my cc too (note that I had used that cc with them before) and I received the same email about having to do a wire transfer to them because of fradulent cc activity.
I cancelled the order too as it was just too much trouble, plus I had other things on my plate too, but luckily, LVR didn't debit my cc yet.

Cheer up, I'm sure you'll be able to get one....try intermix, or NAP too!

sorry to hear about that bad experience... i never had a good feeling about LVR eben though i met the owner on one of my buying trips and have been there also in person...
thats an awful thing to do and i am sure they placed a very small order as i can assure you that most buyers where hesitant plainly because of the weight of the bags.
i hope you can find one very soon though:)

Hi Morri! It is good to hear from you - but so sorry about your LVR experience. Now I am worried about my Hildegarde order with them. They have already charged my credit card (as I know they do) - but I haven't heard a word from them about my bag. I think I will email them about expected delivery date. I have not been able to be on TFS much the past few months but when things settle down a bit for me, I hope to be a more frequent visitor. Please stay in touch with all of us - and thanks for the heads up about LVR.
 
Saw some of the bags in real life tonight and I'll be the umpteenth person to confirm that they're heavy as hell.

The hardware is much, much darker than the pictures suggest, it's not a yellow gold at all but rather brassy.

And the leather is very pebbly and kinda matte, to be honest I didn't find the leather anything to write home about.

I believe she's sporting good old fashioned black.

This picture has totally energized me for bags again. I was thinking of going on a bag break but this seems unlikely now that this and the Leopard Muse are around. This season is looking up for me. I think I'm going to try and track down the elusive bottle green though black is also compelling. Kate Bosworth mentioned the Lam bag in Harpers Bazaar so we'll probably see her toting it around too which I don't mind since she, unlike other starlets seems to have her own sense of style.
 
could be the bottle green...bc I don't think they did them this season in black. just the clutch I believe.

It looks so gorgeous and soft. The ram's head also looks less gold-toned than I had thought, which I actually like better.

Does anyone know what is the size of the bag in post #209?
Is it the Hildegard or the Persephone?
