Meg, I can't tell you how lovely the bag was. Its really just out of this world and that size, which looked so huge on the runway, is just right. I can't wait till I get my hands on one.
And OMG ROYAL BLUE!! I can't wait to see swatches. The bottle green is incredible but the last bag I bought was green so I can't go that route. Anyone know when the new colors will be in stores? I can't wait!

Shopping, Posi! I have missed you!! I've been away for so long. My brother had cancer and died the end of August and I was totally caught up in all of that and everything else just went by the wayside. However, LVR did finally send my bottle green Persephone - it is gorgeous - the leather, handware, construction, lining - everything is scrumptous and of the finest quality - but it is one HEAVY sucker. Makes the paddington feel light weight. I don't care though. When I use it I don't load it up as much as usual and I adore her too much to ever be mad at her. Shopping, I envy your clutch. I definitely want another Lam bag. Glad to "see" you all again. XOXO

jan -- post pics! I didnt used to like this bag, but its really grown on me and I kind of wish I had gotten it instead of the magenta work I just got.

jan: i'm so sorry about your brother. *group hug* i'm really looking forward to your pictures!!! i still haven't seen the bottle green or the oxblood in person. i'm sure your green baby is gorgeous!
i think alot of the f/w bag weight was in the hardware, and i know that was hollowed out starting with the resort batch. i'm sure they could have made the bag lighter still with a different leather, but i'm glad they didn't because the leather is beautifully substantial like the original paddy leather before being switched out into subsequent-generation mass production leather.
the one leather out of the group that feels to be lighter than the rest is the crackled leather in black & white for resort. weirdly the silver resort color is exactly the same weight as all the pebbly leathers like black, brown, royal blue, pumice, and mushroom.
btw, the royal blue is not like in the vogue article, unfortunately. they have never offered that vogue deep blue. royal blue is a brighter medium blue that definitely looks very spring/summery. i like it, but mushroom remains my personal favorite out of all the colors so far. i am just praying that they get the shade right for s/s because the resort mushroom is so gorgeous, but the mushroom sample i saw for s/s was from the j.p. tods factory (with their new alliance for s/s) and the shade still hadn't been matched exactly.

mmm to be honest - I'm not so crazy about these bags. In fact, half of them look like imitation bags made with different fabrics. I see Lanvin, Chloe and LV references. Except there is that one nice clutch. I prefer the bags from last season by FAR

omg michelle williams just carried one of these clutches to an event (it's the grey/puttyish patent one) and I've been dying to figure out what it was....and then voila, here it is!! man I love tfs 
now someone just needs to find out how much it is for me...
edit: I just realized I am the ULTIMATE dork...she was wearing a derek lam dress, at the cfda/vogue event, celebrating derek lam....and I couldn't figure out what line the clutch came from

i am big dork myself at times - it's all good!
meg - i agree with you that there are lanvin/chloe influences on these bags. i am more attracted to the colors of the bags (the blue, mushroom, etc) than anything else, not so much the design. although i do like the one clutch that mundo likes too.
