I hate to be critical...because I love the guy. I met him at a trunk show and preordered many many things from his spring 06...still waiting for it to come in. I love it all I almost could buy the collection.

I am not totally in love with anything. Last spring I could look at the looks and build a list of what I wanted and this season I can't do that. There are a few things I might like but not sure!

Does anyone know what the deal is with the handbags? I think they are kinda neat......are they going to produce them?

I do agree! I think the strapless dresses are nice but blah you know? Like something off Project Runway...not being an insult at all bc they are talented...but from spring I could buy everything from it and be happy and this is just well forgettable. I emailed the sales ppl at DL and asked about the handbags. I want one...talk about collectable!!!

looks like it always takes time for him to jump on trend bandwagons.....

the looks he's incorporating (ruffled necklines, high belted waistlines, heavy gold chains) is so deja vu.. i want to see something new...

it's a very safe collection though.. good if people are looking for slightly " trendy basics".... (if that makes any sense)

not totally in love with his f/w 06 . everything just looks so meahhh... ehhhh... hmmm... blah??? i loved derek lam's s/s collection. but this collection just didn't quite do it for me. sigh.

Some of the coats and pants were so blatantly Balenciaga that it was shocking. Also detect a bit of Pilati in there.
