Then they don't ship from Jersey? Because Jersey isn't included in the EU customs, which has nothing to do with VAT, and you have to pay customs duty if you get something shipped from Jersey to the EU. It's funny, because of course the UK is a member, but Jersey isn't included in the whole no customs-thing.nope..no customs duty - if you scroll down you'll see they write:
"Our Dermalogica site is an approved member of the UK VAT registration scheme - so you can be rest assured that your products have UK VAT charges paid."
so I don't think customs duty should be an issue..
But!All dermalogica products are shipped from Jersey with postage included, including the UK and all EU Countries.
Which means...customs duty. When buying goods in another EU country you can rule out customs duty entirely. Remember, however, that the Faroe Islands, Greenland, the Canaries (Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and Fuerteventura), The British Channel Islands (Alderney, Guernsey and Jersey) and the Aland Islands do not belong to the EU customs area and are therefore treated as non EU-countries.
... Community goods exported from Jersey are not liable to Customs duty on arrival in a member state of the EC.
from jerseybeautycompany.comIf your delivery address is outside of the United Kingdom, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Any such additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. You should note that customs policies vary widely from country to country; jerseybeautycompany.co.uk advises each customer to contact their local customs office for further information. Please note that your goods may be sent to you in instalments..
