Too many designers and too many categories something's going to have to fall off. Also all the coverage means people are not as interested as they used to be

And I noticed LVMH did that several times, imho recently the most noticeable exemple is the discontinuation of the "open walk" loafers at Loro Piana, they were so popular they must have accounted for at least 50% of the sales back then. Now you simply can't find them at all, but the brand has continued to evolve, and few people noticed.

Respectively not true. They are boutique exclusive now and being pulled out of online channels— for now. Brand management move to control a popular item and cross sell other Loro Piana items.

They would never get rid of Open Walk!
