Designers Switching Houses & Moving to New Brands

It has been few years already since M/M didn't work on art direction of Loewe.

This boring person is just odious. Also I'm getting a bit "bored" of all these people: Boring / Lauren Sherman / Miss Tweed, always saying they are the first with every scoop for every position. I just want the designer merry go round to calm down so they can all shut up and we can focus on the actual craft of these designers.

also Style, Truss Archives and some others too...it's a competition who got the scoop first. And that makes them reckless and irresponsible, not Style cause he just share press releases...lol...

The only thing i like of those unconfirmed "exclusives" s that it gave us TFS members topics to discuss...

the only thing that unites them is some hideous colourful background / horrid illustration on their posts and in their articles. another one is Glitz who do tasteless investigations in the world of luxury.. yeah right

I must say that after hearing her interview and did some digging myself, I put so much more trust on MissTweed now.
I never really paid that much attention to her wording but indeed, she is either accurate or very cautious.
Lauren is really sometimes verging on the pure gossip. Too much flow of information can hurt too.

JWA at Dior seems like a misstep. Dior is 10x larger than Loewe and has an Haute Couture.

Im really not seeing a future for him at Dior. I think they're bringing him to improve Dior's horrible bag and acccessory line up. I told people around me and they said they're worried he will do Dog bags and clothes again at Dior (remembering his repertoire at Loewe)

So if the women shopping Dior and Loewe who know who JWA is don't see it for him. I definitely dont.

I liked her on the StyleZeitgeist podcast a lot.

i agree with you! i also think JWA was 'sent' to dior to improve the clientele and press maybe..younger generation will now maybe buy a kooky version of Dior, rather than the coockoo version by Mary Grace? But I dont know what they will have to do there for it to properly sell with JW though... gonna be interesting to observe

I don't see it at all ! Maria has made wonderful gowns at Dior and of course so did John. I'm not talking about red carpet I'm talking in store.

JWA does not do that! They are going shock some of there clientele which they've done before. But he's extremely good at accessories, good at making the buzz over bags and shoes which is where the real money is. And that's what they care about.

Can someone post some of his Creations that fit well with Dior? No accessories

I liked her on the StyleZeitgeist podcast a lot.
Yes she was great on that podcast and it convinced me she is a real journalist and does her due diligence, uses multiple sources, etc. I like Lauren Sherman's newsletter because it's fun and gossipy (but she seems much more comfortable with publishing unverified info than Miss Tweed). I guess both types of content have their place.

Dior clientele is young with MGC.
Maybe her shows doesn’t give the right impression but there are younger people in Dior stores today than in the last 17 years.

JWA is going because Delphine wants it. Sometimes it has nothing to do with more than that.

Really? I’ve never seen anyone younger that 50+ buying dior recently. If younger people do buy it it’s a saddle / infamous carryover pieces. The MGC nonsense can be seen on influencers and no more than that
