After seeing the SS25 Fendi campaign, it’s clear that MGC is a pressing necessity. They barely managed four looks - none of them desirable. I think her Marcus Aurelius energy makes sense at Fendi and am excited to see roman motifs embroidered in leather onto silk gowns...

As for MGC at Fendi Uomo, I am ambivalent. I don't think anyone here has even mentioned it so the focus should remain on Fendi Donna. Both Fendi Donna and Uomo continue to languish under the weight of their lackluster boutique lines. The house demands a RTW overhaul. Maria is the perfect person for the job.

Glen Martens has not only reinvigorated Diesel but has transformed both himself and the brand entirely. Diesel is the hottest it has been since the late '90s. He has broadened the Diesel lexicon through innovation, demonstrating an ability to elevate the ordinary.

This touch makes him the ideal candidate for Maison Margiela. I am confident he will offer a significant and thoughtful contribution to M3, expanding its design language in ways that are both innovative and harmonious with its founders POV. He also benefits from the Galliano-trained atelier.

When it comes to Diesel, I actually believe Pierpaolo Piccioli would be the ideal choice. I see him stepping in and thoughtfully expanding Diesel’s RTW repertoire. Piccioli’s exceptional tailoring will make full use of the house’s evolved textile aesthetic. Diesel’s RTW offering is heavily focused on trend, with little to no pieces that do the job of a boutique line. Pierpaolo Piccioli is the master of the boutique line. I want to see classic stuff in the new materials.

Me saying PPP to Diesel is about me of course.....

I went into the Diesel boutique here in Design District looking for Spring Summer and there wasn't a single thing for me to buy in that giant boutique.

Knowing myself I would want Diesel's high tech fabrics in boring shapes so I can integrate it into my existing wardrobe.... PPP is perfect for that.

Yes, Pier Paolo Piccioli did jeans at Valentino, even for couture. And they somehow worked. It would be interesting for him to go to Diesel (but I doubt he would take on the job).

Beyond that though.

From seeing LVMH strategy at Celine and Loewe. Once you make a house hot you immediately need to make it boring so all the new clients that are coming to check the hot brand out have something for them...

IMO Diesel is missing out on money by having literally nothing for the new clients who don't dress like a Charli XCX video.

Diesel needs a boutique line like yesterday. They should've dropped it for Holiday.
