I mean, you say this as an insult, but part of the problem is like... working in a studio and those aspects of fashion are actual skills, too. The trouble is that those skills sometimes (lol) don't match up with design skills.... obviously. Even with regards to VV.

It’s not an insult at all. Being behind the scenes is the best place to be. He was clearly very successful before Gucci. Becoming a creative director instantly puts a target on your back. I hope he finds something in a studio. He can use his skills in a more productive way.

I think once you’ve been the star is hard to go backwards… I even see that with managers, if they get fired they prefer not to work again unless they find something at their level 🫣 I guess it has to do with ego and with the fact that this guy probably won't need to work again…

Also once you are at that level, having your personal assistants, everyone lick*ng your ***… to go back to a studio, having someone giving you orders… I think it is not easy.

If he's smart he can invest all that money and he won't need to work again.
