Designers Switching Houses & Moving to New Brands

Counting down the days to the Dior announcement and subsequent release from MGC's grip. I am so curious of JWA's vision for Dior.
same as loewe but add the dior new look bar jackets and your done :-)

but it will be fun a bit raf dior era back intelectual with a layers of dior sugar on top

lots of quirky funny chic modern fashion trendy stuff

i think will be good pitting them against new level of banal at chanel as well it fits all !!!!!!

as way more people are getting more stupid, so pretending that your using your brain consuming high fashion is the renewed playground of the elite so marketable friendly intellectual chic fashion is the way to go.

all empty!!! but it looks interesting on ig or tik tok

wonder where some of his ambassadors (Josh O'Connor, Greta Lee, etc.) will go. Feels weird for them to be at Dior and would be odd for them to stay with Loewe now that he's not there anymore.

There are already so many brand ambassadors at Dior that he has a lot there. Thankfully he has Rihanna.
They will probably stay at Loewe as they are under contract and possibly move into the « Friends of the house » at Dior.

The brand ambassador thing is really luck isn’t it. Matthieu Blazy dressed Margot already at BV so the fact that she is in contract with Chanel makes it easier. Haider is lucky that Tom Ford is not considered a direct competition so he can benefit from the aura of his two main stars without locking them in a contract.

Dior has way too many unecessary ambassadors though.

You easily notice how JWA is insufferable when dealing with the dumb / blank face kpop celebs with no fashion knowledge / interest that are nowadays mandatory to lure the gen Z and the korean star stans.
I am dying to see him greeting Jisoo, who does not even speak a single English word and comes up with the usual scripted "I love Dior by Maria Grazia cause she makes women beautiful...it's all so beautiful", at the next Dior couture show...

"Dollars" is pronounced the same in all languages 🤑💰💰

in what universe does wearing expensive labels mean that they know anything about fashion? that's a false equivalence lol
just because kpop is not the norm in the western society or is seen as only a novelty there, doesnt mean it has 0 relevance in fashion... You'll be surprised how kpop heavily influence how asians dress. Probably way more than fashion shows at this tiktok era.

Maybe not about 'fashion' in the sense of the artistic conversations taking place via the medium of clothing, but about clothes, yes. Hold clothes in your hand, try them on, and then wear them all day or all evening, and you'll naturally pick up things up. You'll notice how fabrics move as you walk, how well this or that kind of shoulder moves with you ask you lift your arm, how a dress with one or another kind of waist usually drapes over your hips. You'll learn at least as much as people whose entire fashion education is runway videos do.

between phoebe's little acolytes being installed in every corner of the industry, anderson's hideous pseudo-intellectual antics, the mismatch at tom ford, and sean mcgirr butchering the legacy of alexander mcqueen with his tawdry retreads of sarah burton's work, i'm not sure 2025 (and indeed beyond) will even be worth watching in fashion.

I was asking myself the same… JW has the best taste in male ambassadors (Josh, Jamie, Kit etc)… I hope they’ll be following him!

That's messy 18 hour ago posting the fw25 videos from Cad Wallader and now announc a new CD? and CW still mentiones Mugler Cd on his bio update: he just delete it...

Brands don't know how to make proper things these days...

Oh wow, many designers could carry on Mugler’s legacy—like Rui Zhou, Charlotte Knowles, or Alexandre Arsenault - I think. Cause L’Oréal isn’t likely to hire a star designer. They’ll probably go for a young talent or a fresh name, and he is not on my list.
