It is not French I believe, it is Greek. In Greek Mythology, there are twelf gods/ goddess, Hermes is the god of making clothes. It is Her- mees.

Hermes in Greek Mithology is the son of Zeus and his messager. he's fast etc.

it should be pronounced just like when you say "good" this is how it is pronounced in spanish... after all he was spanish

About 'tagliapietra', I think the sound 'gli' does not exist in the english pronunciation... It is similar to the Y in Yogurt.
So Ta (Tarina) Gli (Yogurt) A (card) Pi (peace) E (never) Tra.
