Dior Homme F/W 07.08 Paris

Braganza?

If Dior Homme is being written off at this point, it shall be interesting to see which house people will go to for those special, demi-couture-like pieces. Jean-Pierre Braganza for Givenchy is another possibility.[/QUOTE]

Where have you heard this? Does anyone else know if this is true?

I will be honest and say that I’m still undecided on certain elements of this collection. My judgement will be reserved until such a time that I can try things on and see how that actually look and feel on my person, until then I don’t really know what to think.

On a separate note, I actually met Hedi a couple of weeks ago which was a great pleasure. I just about managed to hold myself together, despite the fact I was talking to one of my idols and my heart was beating harder than it has done for quite some time. As you would expect he was very shy yet charming and his assistant Chris is a nice guy too. I wished them all the best for Paris, yet as I say, I will reserve judgement as to if my well wishes served their intended purpose.

^_^ dido, I think im still partial to s/s 07 but there are a few things I can see myself in

oh its sooo yesterday, but its gonna be so hard to let go, imagine the rage this started, and all of the sudden, gone.

If Dior is yesterday then who is todya? I mean Pilati at YSL and Bailey at Burberry are doing nice clean pieces but nothing that really stands out. It seems Hedi really made a name for himself by being a little different. Other designers seem to offer clothes for a lifestyle whereas Dior seemed to offer clothes AND a lifestyle.

The new Dior *was* Cloak, but that fell through...I think Number Nine is really coming into it's own.

Unfortunately, it seems like Thom Browne might be the next official Dior Homme...Who was Dior Homme before Dior Homme? Gucci?

No! Not Thom Browne! Please don't let it catch on in the rest of the world!

Seriously though, he's way too GQ already to be the next Dior.

GQ in what manner? You mean well-recieved? That qualifies for the next Dior. Though I cant imagine many men running around in jeans worn at thier naval, suspenders and platform brogues.

It doesn't really matter who takes the design reigns at Dior. It's become such a label wh*re brand that business interests will override any sort of cutting edge design.

Dior is well on it's way to becoming the next Versace..........

It's already there as far as Im concerned, Dior Homme has lost all of it's cool factor.

Diorling, the brand is obviously grossly overpriced for what you're getting but I don't think it's reached the level of tackiness as Versace yet. There are still afew (very few) pieces in each collection that is decent, though again way overpriced.

Have you seen thier new logo polos? MONSTROSITIES. The SS collection had only two items worth owning, so now I have no reason to go back. It's just...

The quality is unbelieveable, a button popped off my tuxedo shirt on the second wear!! ON THE COLLAR, which is never buttoned!

I haven't seen anything from the new collection first hand, and I don't think I want to hahah

I've previewed some of the samples from this collection, and I am in love with some of the coats...Seeing each piece in person, minus the styling of the show really gives it a new look.
