Der_al, how is it not Dior-like? If anything, it's way more Dior-like than the last four collections, in my opinion.

I agree, I think it is much more Dior than many previous collections. Speaking of the new collection...what do you all think of these coats?

Can I get some people here to contribute in reporting that Argentinian guy on eBay? At least once in a while...maybe even just a couple items out of the lists and lists of sh*t he posts? I can deal with the rest of the stuff okay, but I want to really make sure he doesn't rip off a single person. I would think his account would be suspended soon. His listings have been taken off like three times this week already.[/quote]

After admitting apathy and laziness, I have done my bit on ebay in the past few days. I haven't encountered the Argentinian or Korean seller yet but will report them immediately should they persist.

To report, click on "contact us" on ebay and there'll be buttons to click. Choose the keyword spamming button. And the rest will follow. You will also need to take down their item numbers (not seller ID). Hope this helps.

Arise Dior vigilantes!

I don't like them, they're too gimmicky for me. Can you even wear it "open"? The lapel flaps would look wierd just...dangling there. The other trenches are great though, especially that black silk/satin one :woot:

Man, the white shirt with bee on eLuxury is $380. That sounds way ridiculously expensive to me. Anyone else notice that they lowered the union jack polo price from $300 to $280? Probably a good move.

What link/form are you using to report the argentine guy's listings? When he used to refer to 'Hedi Slimane' in his lisings, ebay would remove listings I reported fairly promptly presumably for key word spamming violation. When he started cutting the designer's name from his listings, ebay wouldn't touch them when I reported them. I started contacting winners of his auctions and letting them know he was scamming them but then he started making his listings private. Anyway, sounds like you've been having success. If you'd report your approach, I'd be happy to adopt it. His listings piss me off.

I open a second tab in Firefox, open the eBay help section, search for "keyword spam" or "misleading title" (depending on which offense it is), then go to work. :)

Gee, I'm glad I didn't buy that union jack polo earlier

Who's this Argentinian guy you speak of? is it the guy who puts up the Dior Monsieur suits and tries posing them as Dior Homme? That guy is pretty bad...I think something also needs to be done about the kid who's always putting up acrylic cardigans from the 80s and posing them as Dior Homme.

Do you realize some people make thier livelyhood by selling on ebay?
You should quit harrassing these sellers and just learn to deal. I have no problem reporting a seller for large offences, but just going after all these sellers seems excessive.
If someone gets ripped off, Its just a personal lesson for them to learn about being more careful next time. (How hard is it to fall for any of these things anyway?) believe it or not.. some people want to buy that old dior stuff.
Maybe Im just used to it because it is completely unregulated (spamming) on yahoo auctions.
I also don't see it as being a completely malicious practice, because I can see many people doing it to give thier item more exposure, not neccessarily to scam people.

I can think of four groups that we can target on Dior Homme ebay: (1) the Argentinian seller, (2) Korean seller who floods home-made stuff on ebay and use keyword spam such as Dior Homme and now moved on to Margiela:angry: ; (3) a few different sellers from China and (4) the acrylic cardigan guy with unflattering poses.

LMAO I love how you just threw in "the acrylic cardigan guy with unflattering poses" at the end of that list, as if you were grouping him as a menacing force along with superpowers like Korea and China...brilliant.

Methinks you haven't seen his listings. Attempting to sell Christian Dior Monsieur suits for a Buy It Now of $1500 is not making an honest living. It's a scam, straight up. I'd hate for someone to learn a $1500 "personal lesson", but whatever...

Anyhow, the dude just listed more stuff than ever; you'd think he was reading this.

I'll make it easy; he are ten listings (since you can only report ten at a time)...

7741767450, 7741767470, 7741767495, 7741767519, 7741767547, 7741767573, 7741767584, 7741767595, 7741767600, 7741767606

And the rest of the shoes...

7741767612, 7741767640, 7741767670, 7741767703, 7741767726, 7741767756, 7741767787

Tonight, when I go to bed, I will dream Hedi lurking on this thread, while watching his recent show on the Dior Homme website.

:ninja:

Or the Prada items on ebay. Try to spot a few genuine Prada items on ebay and tell me how long it took you to do it. Then, search for other ten brands. You get the hint.

If we are not vigilant about this issue now, the Dior Homme listings will be like the Prada listings.

Old Dior stuff = Christian Dior
New Dior stuff = Dior Homme

Wanting more exposure? Then why stop at Dior Homme? May as well fit as many brands as possible in the title: Dior Homme, Raf Simons, Jil Sander, Helmut Lang, Branquinho, Gucci, Diesel. That way, when I search for each of this brand, I get to see the seller's item again and again and again........

I tried searching for Prada a couple weeks ago and I gave up trying to find anything authentic after the first four pages.

what's up with all these new people, we've a sudden surge in the last 2 days.

ha ha, that's what happens when vogue.co.uk are too slow with the updates and one's life can't possibly go on if one doesn't get to see the new collection immediately. you find other sources!

did dior homme ever make a tweed coat? or am I thinking of the houndtooth coat from VOTC?

I don't fancy them at all. It looks like something Jens Laugesen could have made.

lovely

big fan of what hedi slimane has been doing for dior homme. i also love that watch that i've been seeing. hedi slimane says it's not a show off watch, it's a good watch. the designs are very slim, they're cut for slimmer men who aren't all muscle bound, so that's why it has more sophistication.
