DH 16 cm stretch jeans =

Most people can't even wear the super slim 19 cm cut (the one measuring 17 cm in smaller sizes) without looking like an idiot. I don't think I want to see how people wear this new cut. Sounds like too-small girl jeans syndrome for sure.

Thanks for the Harper's pic, Guessgirl. Looks way better there than it did on the runway!
The jeans could have been nice if the fabric wasn't as stretchy as a legging - those ripped and coated jeans from Strip that you have had, Alex, looked absolutely amazing on you, for instance - and they were indeed skinnier than the regular 19cm jeans.

I am currently wearing a pair of F/W 2006 orange overdyes in 26", knowing that they become larger in size after wear - I could hardly button them up at the start, but now that I´ve worn them in, they´re awesome (and they are indeed smaller than 19cm).

As for the 19/16cm measurements, Guessgirl, this corresponds to the leg opening of the jeans - Dior has got several cuts for their jeans - 21cm (straight cut) and 19cm (skinny) - those on the runway are modified (that is, skinnier) versions of the 19cm jeans.

Thanks, Jost. They were a 28 w/ 17 cm hem, and the reason I got rid of them was because they were painful to wear. Made a nice $200 profit, too. I'm currently looking for them two sizes up. I figure if I went up to a 29 w/ the VOTC black cotton/poly jeans, the Strip destroyed jeans oughta fit comfortably in a 30.

Thanks for the replies :) J brand has the same thing where they do by the leg openeings, thats the only other place I've seen it.

I´ve got a pair of 29" ripped jeans that I regret to have bought in that size back then - I´ve worn them in by now and they fit so wide on the hips, whereas the legs are still very contour-ish.

I don´t know, I guess I am quite used to break in jeans all by myself - I´m quite comfy with raw denims and like it when they are sort of stiff at the start - I like how they eventually become sort of a blueprint of the body they use to cover... Makes them an incredibly personal garment...

i dont know what the fuss is about?!?

the only jean I wear is Acne Hex and those are 16cm.

Sure there tight, but if thats the look you want, they need to be that small of hem................

I´m wearing exactly the same Acne´s, the Hex Cash - I´ve been wearing mine since last summer almost every day without washing and now the fading is awesome, I think this particular model bleeds out pretty nicely. Does somebody know about the results with Dior Homme raw denim jeans?

You can also try ACNE Mod, my jeans har 16,5cm in the hem, and 28/32.

Ance MOD har for men and a bit bigger on the thigh, and HEX har for girls and tight all the way.

Acne is a very nice brand indeed (although i think they are heavily influenced by DH) .. i'll be sure to visit the boutique when i'm in stockholm next month. Fillipa K is also very nice Swedish label.

anyways, i've got some mic & mod jeans and my girl wears hex. Staying clear fom the cross-dressing / under-sizing hype that seems to be going on here at tFS, but hey different strokes for diffrent folks :innocent:

I have dior raw blue jeans in 19cm. I have 28 waist in them and thus the hems are 17cm. My problem is I'd like them a little skinnier. If I were to size down to 27 do the hems get even skinnier or stay at 17cm?

Secondly these 16cm jeans sound very appealing but my only worry is that, if they are adjusted for different sizes as are the 19cm whereby a 32 comes with 19cm hem but 28 comes with 17, then a 28 may be like 14-15cm which would be too much for me. Any idea tricotinacetat? Thanks

I am not aware of any blue raw denim jeans measuring 17cm in the leg opening with a 28" waist, all of my 27" are in fact 18,5 - 19cm, the only exception being the ripped jeans from Strip, which are a little snugger in the leg.

As for those 16cm slenders, they should fit accordingly to this measurement even in the small size, there´s no point in making the leg even smaller, they should fit accordingly once they hit the salesfloor.

As for acne, I have max raw and cash also in 28; fit in the leg is a lot slimmer than dior 28s, particularly in the thigh where the diors seem overly roomy. This is one positive I suppose but I refuse to wear either as the rise at the back is excessively long compared to the front; its like two different pairs of jeans when viewed from front and back and as soon as it gives a bit the back starts slipping down leaving bags of material.

Thanks for the info. I can assure you that 28s in 19cm cut do measure 17cm in the hems and have done for as long as I can remember. I also have blue whiskered jeans in 28 and 19cm and these come up as close to 16.5 cm.

If yours measure 18.5-19 then I would guess you have the 21cm hem as these are also adjusted with size ie they are 21 in 32 and 19 in 28.

The chainmail belt's totally mine. :shifty:
Dammit, those things sell for more and more every time. I once missed one for $550, and this one went for $805 ($10 over my bid). Very pissed...

I have the raw in 27 and the hem is approx 16 cm which is quite skinny... But it's the japanese ones not the italian sold @ eLux or LVR... If you want pics, détails or réference, i'd be happy to help you... But i think they are not the 19 cm ones but the "tight leg" ones which makes me think that even if you get a 27 in the italian 19cm ones, it would not change that much...

By the Way, Colette makes my dreams come true (as always)
