^Ok thanks! I tought that, due to the cost cutting the past seasons, they are made in Italy, not Japan, but I´m not sure of course.

They can be made from both country, mine are SS 06 and japanese ones, but more expensive though (+ the cut is a little bit less loose, and the color is more indigo)

what is the prize of dior homme white loafer seeming with bow tie..very open shuz..
is there some of them in milan

just to, hopefully, roust myself of some ignorance:
dior homme is sometimes/often accused of taking inspiration from ann dem'...
and a lot of the dior heads here also really like dem'
and just over-all ive heard a lot of comparisons/ parallels mentioned between dior and anne dem.'
could someone direct me to some specific collections/ or particular pieces that illustrate the similarities.......
and im not trying to contest or refute anything...
i just wanna get a better scope of things!

Thanks.

A photo of some singer wearing them at a show was posted a while back... I personally think they are WAY feminine.

The discussion that followed afterwards suggested that they were actually never put into production.

If you really want something like them, get some ballet flats in a larger size. It'll be way cheaper anyways. Save the money!

Good luck!

the $23k flower jacket from FW05 is on sale at the outlet for 75% off.
so sad, that jacket is so awful, it's sad to see all that wonderful craftsmanship go into such a fruity looking piece like that. and about those white flats with bow, those have got to be the girliest shoes ever made for a man, Albert is so right its literally a womans shoe worn by a man.

i really like the dior ballet shoes. not the mary jane with the bow but the other one. i was planning on getting them in black. thus far i havn't been able to find repetteos in the states and in paris with the euro/dollar exchange rate they will probably run me close to $200. my price on the dior ones is $300 so i might as well. i've never seen any pics of the mary jane a.k.a. the phil cazal shoe outside of the runway.

i actually think the cazals guy pulls em off pretty good.
but yeah in a real life setting they would look ultra queer.

Wow...a mere $5750 now.

I agree with Eddie. What a waste of craftsmanship.

For somebody that is seriously Victoriana in his style, these plack patent pumps *could* work if pulled off correctly as in the F/W 2006 collection. I think Ralph Lauren also does shoes like these from time to time, and they also pop up in really conservative Herrenausstatter (sort of old fashioned stores where you can get suits and tails and whatever else you will need if you want to dress up for very much according to the ettiquette) from time to time.

I am currently considering to get myself a pair of these really old-fashioned black velvet laofers that gents are wearing as house shoes... they are often very nicely cut and they also appear with crests and other motifs embroidered on the tongue.

I've tried on the original repetto's, and they are ok, but i think i preffer Dior's. the repetto's have ultra thin leather and millimeter sole, they are really made for dancing, not too much casual walking. Although the DH's are twice as expensive, i think they'll last longer, not to mention they look sharper.

I also saw the Jil Sanders version at colette the other day. They are quite nice, a little more 'bulky' but probably the most solid of the bunch.

haha i remember someone mentioning the dior eye contacts a while ago, but god thats so bad

^please tell me that you're not serious
there was a post right before mine showing pics of the dior eye contacts, but it looks liek that post mysteriously disppeared.

For reference, the contact lenses were launched in 2004 under Christian Dior, not Dior Homme.

it seems like a lot of posts are disppearing from this forum. odd.

I'm not sure, but I think this is becuase they just started enforcing the no ebay item numbers rule and they delete the posts with it.
