Theres a nice vest on eBay right now. The strap looked like it could be taken in enough so I was thinking of bidding. I asked for the length and it's 28", thats just below my butt

^are you talking about the backless one in a size 44? he probably measured wrong, i have a size 48 and i can assure you mine is shorter then 28 inches

guessgirl i just measured mine for you, and from the backside from the neck to the back strap is 20.5 inches and from the front, neck to all the way to the pointy bottom is 26 inches

it seems on Y! where sizes run smaller in everything, the most common shirt size is 40(and the measurments indicate that as a U.S. 40, or a Euro 50) i'm typically an XS, which is normally 34. Then I saw an auction on ebay for a size 39 which the person marked as Small.

any suggestions as to the sizing?

you posted the samething on the msn forum, youre just tripping out. a size 28 waist jean would not wear a 40, a 40 is huge its just a coincidence that you saw a bunch of 40s on Y! a dior home 39 is a medium a small would be a 38 and if youre a extra small you would be a 37P not a 34, is a 34 dress shirt even made? And in dior dress shirts a 40 US does not equal a euro 50, that only pertains to suits, blazers, and coats. 40 is the euro size and in US size it would be a 15 3/4 .

or you can pray that it makes it to sale at saks, i know for sure that they had a 50 and 54 last time i stopped by there, but saks sale discount sucks at only 30% in the first wave. 30% off 3,500 is still a bit too much. i dunno why this jacket costs so much, there was a black leather jacket with vertical zippers in the chest area which was only 2,900 something which i thought was much better.

i have everything from it except for the overpriced overdesigned leather jacket. unfortunately i don't think my discount could be passed on.
i do reccomend everything though.
