Does anyone know how the price in Paris compare to the prices in Canada/US (which are pretty much equivalent now)? I'm thinking about picking up a few items when I'm there in May, but I don't want to pay more because of the exchange!

You can also claim tax (12%) when you leave Europe if you spend over 175 euros Well if you buy it in the Le Bon Marche, Printemps and Gallery Layfayette that I know of...

so i passed by the DH in NYC and was let down.
they didn't even have a decent selection of suits.
i ended up getting a Prada suit.
I know I posted this in another thread, but the Dior outlet boutique in Woodbury Commons now has pieces from Dior Homme line.
You clearly went to the went to the wrong designer. As much as I love DH, it's one of the last places I would go to buy a high end suit.
If you're going to get designer suiting you're best options are from Jil Sander or Ralph Lauren Black Label (in that $1400-$2300 range).
I was talking about the tailored and Sartorial Jil Sander suits, not the runway ones.
u mean graphic like surface prints / textures ?i'm not really keen on the fabrics that raf chooses... and also the lightness of his construction (especially shoulder pads)...
a friend of mine's been an assistant at his own line and i pretty much agree with him that he chooses fabric rather from a graphic, rather than a luxe point of view... i keep looking back at what he does (also at jil sander), and keep seeing those flipsy, cotton and lightweight italian suiting fabrics that could just as well be zegna or any other italian producer... it's always been a very odd thing as well to see raf choosing a lot of fabrics helmut lang's been using the season before!
with hedi - not so much kris van assche - and also nicolas andreas taralis at cerruti, i liked the choice of really dry, rather heavy weighted (english) woollen fabrics.
then again, i think a lot goes back to preferences and taste, i don't really like the neapolitan style of tailoring.
