Hey does anyone know where you would be able to buy that silver dove Dior necklace online? I’ll see if I can find a picture of it to post, but I saw it in a magazine and am in love with it. Lust at first sight and none of the shops in my area that stock Dior Homme have it.

I finally got to see the S/S 06 stuff in person after hearing all this bashing...and as tired as the continued bashing is going to sound (if you don't want to hear it don't read on), the stuff is REALLY getting worse. Maybe the collection's still early and the key pieces aren't here yet, maybe they've all been swept at the pre-orders, who knows. But what was available was crap...it's so lazy now, Barney's and Saks were full of those plain pocket tees, they're basically American Apparel t-shirts, same quality, thinness and every thing, except TEN times the price of an AA t-shirt. That really demands a WTF...the sweat shirts were so bad, the inside just feels rough and nasty. I saw that cob web top at the store and it was disappointing, i mean the idea of the construction is pretty interesting but the material (i think it was a cotton) just felt so cheap, as did the $455 striped cotton sweaters which is really on par with H&M stuff. Even last spring/summer I wouldn't have said all this about the clothes, even though it seemed fragile at least the construction appeared more delicate, this time it's really for suckers.

i'm pretty sure i saw one on ebay, a few days ago.;)

Seeing double
How much was the waistcoat? Do you mind posting a few pictures?

Question: I'm eyeing the jeans on eluxury, and I was wondering how the sizing is for the 21cm dior hommes.

I am a size 26 in diesel zathans, and I wear a size 28 in nudies regular ralf (its loose fitting), I have a size 27 in Nudie Slim Jim and its way too tight/little crotch space and a size 28 slim jim is perfectly comfortable.

Will a size 28 work for DH 21cm? Also, is there really that big of a difference in 21 and 19cm? I want the drainpipe look, but I also don't need it to be super tapered.

um its most likely the same one, can you post pics

...yesterday I picked up a s/s 06 waistcoat...I think the same one as edk...I love it:D ^_^

...but looking back at edk's picks...I find mine fits a bit differently. Mine covers more of the rib area...but maybe that is just his pictures. :)

Thanks heaps dorien, Dior jewellery is always expensive but I love it, and especially if you work the whole minimalism thing it becomes a centrepiece and looks awesome!

I bought a pair of Raw Denim Dior jeans the other day in a size 30 and 21cm hem, but found these to be way too baggy. They are slim-fitting, don't get me wrong, but because of the very long legs (which I like), they just felt too large...so I went and swapped them for a 19cm leg which fits much better. I think this would be particularly true considering you want a size 28 jean - the 21cm hem is going to look even wider on you. The way the jeans are cut in either 19 or 21cm hem makes them a little tight on the crotch, so I don't think that should be brought into consideration.

Hope that helps.;)

Oh, yesterday I tried the same one on Joyce and really love it! What size are you guys wearing? I tried the 46 and it's the smallest I can get in Joyce, they don't have 44 which Japan is full of this size.

By the way, Joyce is selling at $14,000 HKD which I have 10% discount. I can get one at 40% off from my friend. Still considering about it, it's so thin that can't be wear till March...

I'm guessing he knows an employee and they can buy it for him, the employee discount is something like 30% off new stock (didn't know it was 40%?)...i get that discount at Y's, don't know about Joyce...since they same company it could be that policy.

14,000 for that waistcoat is pretty steep, what's the retail in the States?

isnt 14,000 hong kong dollars 1,800 US dollars? somethings is way off over there cuz its only 525 dollars here int he US

wow diabro still not back on, now set back until mid Feb.
they had a decent collection to choose from.

Albert,

You're selling the corsage?!

Did you ever have a chance to wear it? I've never worn mine, but for me i think it'd be one of the pieces i'd simply refuse to sell.

Winston, I've worn it once. Love it, but there are things I'd rather buy with the money (specifically a pair of Carpe Diem boots hahaha) that I would get more use out of. Same goes for the Luster sling scarf and the Luster polo I have up for sale too. Wonderful pieces from a great era, but no use if they're collecting dust. Unfortunately my money is finite and although I want to collect, I have to be reasonable and logical about what stays in my closet. After all, fashion is a personal evolution of style.

Also, I'm trying to make my clothes work for me instead of me for them. In the sense that I want to wear the clothes, not the clothes wear me. The corsage is too striking for my personal style. The rest of the minimalist DH look (the original look) is nice because you peripherally appreciate the structure and cut of the clothes, but they enhance the wearer. I think the exception personally is the napoleon jacket hehehe. That's one guy I'm not giving up anytime soon!

The one time I wore the corsage though, no less than 3 girls commented on it at dinner. I just wore it with a blazer, white dress shirt and jeans. Simple yet elegant.

I just hope it goes to someone that'll appreciate it and wear it with pride!
