whats the retail price for the glitter jeans?
Those are S/S 05 lurex jeans, retailed for around $550, and it doesn't fade away because lurex is silver-threaded fabric, not glitter.

I love the style conversation on the last couple pages. Jost and Albert both have great points, though I'm more with Albert in regards to my own wardrobe and way of thinking.

Thought this was funny after reading Albert's post about the scarf hoodie without the scarf being pointless and American Apparel-istic (or whatever ). Doesn't get much more generic than this...

I just bought a pair of black raw denim jeans. The smallest size they had at Selfridge's was 30", I think I'll return them next week and get them to order some 28" instead.

Also, they had a t-shirt in that checkered pattern and it cost £100. The material was so thin, honestly could not understand that price. And a nylon bomber for £560?...No.

 I believe skecr8r from MSN group is selling one of these...when i heard the description i had to see a pic of it, i didn't believe that they actually made PLAIN hoodies. Wow.

Man... a plain hoodie. Not even like the gray one from Luster that has nicer pulls and at least a little bee on it haha. That's just obscene.

The sad thing is, people will (and do) buy it. All of it.

I was talking to FtB and it is possible that although Hedi is moving away from the rock look, he could still put out a collection that fits better on the stage than on the street. For show and for wear are two distinct things in my opinion. I love the haute couture shows by Galliano, but it's an exhibit to me.

Speaking of interesting pieces. I'll be posting a number of items up on ebay this evening including a VotC herringbone coat, Luster zippered knee with leather insert black dress pants, Luster PVC painted black whiskered jeans, Strip early issue ripped jeans, and maybe the Luster PVC white spatter paint dress shirt as seen on the runway.

Sometimes, the thinness of fabric doesn´t speak about the quality... it can be as well a luxury to wear a very thin, fine fabric. I actually like both, but would much rather wear something demi-sheer than something rough and stubborn in terms of jersey, after all, it´s directly on your skin, non?

I hate that checkered pattern so much. And that jacket just doesn't look anything like DH to me, just some random throwback punk jacket.

Fair enough! While we're on the subject though did all of the bombers from this collection retail for $990?

Good point. Sometimes thin requires better quality materials to even hold up right? Plus like people had said about some of the sweaters last season, they were so damn itchy that you HAD to wear something under them. That's just ridiculous hehehe.

I'm torn between the demi-sheer and the opaque. Especially when it comes to dress shirts. I loved how the early (up to Reflection) white DH dress shirts were oh so very thick. You could wear anything under them and the color or the sleeve length wouldn't show through the dress shirt. It just looks bad when you see the sleeve of the undershirt through the long sleeve of a dress shirt. These days, if I have a dress shirt that you can sort of see through, I go with the black undershirt since it's a little more difficult to see.

Agreed. :flower:

About the F/W 05 wool sweaters...I have a beaded one AND a VOTC sweater w/ built-in armwarmers and neck-zip (which I'm putting on eBay tonight with some other stuff). Anyhow, the VOTC sweater is just as scratchy. It's denser and heavier, so it comes across as being even a bit more rough, actually. So...this scratchy wool is nothing new at DH. But I must say, once again, I really don't have much of a problem with it. It's incredibly warm and feels fine with a longsleeve tee underneath. If the weather is cold enough for these sweaters, aren't you probably going to be wearing a longsleeve tee anyway?

On a somewhat related note, I'll be listing the F/W 05 Waxed Jeans and a Luster Messanger (as well as quite a few other items!) on ebay tonight. Let's hope everyone doesn't pick tonight to list things and drive the market down :)

I agree opn the long-sleeve tee point...but sometimes the neck can be a problem. Depending on whether the collar is a high v or crew, the sweaters sometimes can be very harsh on your neck.

Black Raw Jeans, S/S '06

Anyone know where I might be able to find a pair of raw, black 19cm jeans that would charge-send?

They're £115 in Selfridge's.

Thanks for that... I may bug a friend to get me a pair. How is their inventory?

What about in the US? Would Barneys or the store in NYC have pretty good inventory? And do the black raw run larger the same way the indigo do? (i.e. size down at least one if not two).

Anyone have the one-button tux size 44 for sell? The one on ebay has cancelled all bids and ended...sigh....

For all the D&G bashers:

Now, who's copying who? Or is it emulating when Heidi does it?
