I'm around your height and 130. I'd imagine it might fit you. I listed measurements on the auction; do you know your measurements? It's supposed to be a spring/summer weight jacket, of course, but it is definitely a sturdy fabric. I could not wear it during the summer here.

Issa, that's crazy that your jacket has 28 inch sleeves. That's one of the things that bothers me about DH; the sleeves are almost always too long. Take this runway shot, for instance. If the sleeves are too long on the model, they're probably going to be too long on most people. And sure enough, the one time I've seen this jacket on eBay, the sleeves had been shortened...

That's funny - I sold this (an all black version) on Ebay a year ago. I tried it on before I sold it, and I actually loved the bunched up sleeves, because they were skinny and were held firmly in place by the elastic on the cuffs. :flower:

got the dh's in... they're looser than levis

This is a size 28 in dior homme, the 21cm version.

Is this a correct fit? I'm pretty let down, I thought even the 21cm would have been tight. Should I just return them?

i had a pair of size 29 in the 21cm and they fit okay in the waist but were way baggy the same way as yours. i sent them back for a size 29 in the 19cm and they fit a hell of a lot slimmer the waist is just a tad tighter but its a lot slimmer the whole leg through.

this is similar to that leather rick owens jacket at jeffreys, was sold already last week. i like the sleeves long and ann dem has this short dress shirt but with very long sleeves. i like.

Well, I actually do like long and skinny bunched sleeves (I'm wearing an Ann Dem shirt with skinny bunched sleeves right now), but I just think the jacket I posted looks sloppy.

The jacket? VOTC

Speaking of S/S 06, I can't believe someone actually bought one of the nylon bombers on Eluxury. And they're sold out at Brown's, I think.

Victim of the crime takes on a whole new meaning with this, doesn't it?

I've had this shirt for a while and never worn it, it's the silk one from last year with the big silk scarf detail. I kinda like the look of it under a a sweater with the details pulled out, just wondering if anyone else had any interesting wear ideas for it or anything to do with the scarf other than tying it in a bow.

thanks

^^ You should try wearing it with a black cardigan... it would look fierce!

I saw a girl wearing that shirt in the polka dotted version with a cardigan.... whooo ..

Was in Topman today and saw they had a trech just like the one from SS2006. Looks quite good except different colour

irt the cardigan, I've been on the lookout for a couple of those dries van noten button up ones from this fall I should probably step up the search

It's one of those pieces that might be interesting if worn by a man but is definitely a better and more versatile buy for girls...

its funny, i bought that jacket with the shortened sleeves and it arrived today with a nice £220 custom tax as i bought it from a seller in the US. I think im gonna reject it and get him to send it back with no value so i wont get stung!! Maybe this time use a private sevice like fedex? Anybody had any experiance or can offer any advice when buying items outside the EU?

That´s a lovely shirt you´ve got there, would love to own one myself... :woot:

I actually think the silk taffetta looks best in this style, not particularly font of the ones in muslin... I love the stiffness of the bow when properly tied, I think especially with that new romantic/ gothic trend coming back, you will have plenty of choices to team it up with by next winter... until then, I´d probably wear it with a strict blazer on top with a pair of clean but distressed jeans, it really does depend on your own style but I would probably even wear equestrian boots to go with that look. I´d also see it with a waistcoat on top and the sleeves rolled up, a casual interpretation of a nobleman´s attire.

As for the skarf detail, you can probably leave it undone so that it hangs loose or drape it as a skarf, but the best way to work it really is the bow, it´s oh so very nicely Victorian...
