Hi all!

I´m new in this forum. I´ve become addicted to Hedi Slimane and DH but I only own a couple of DH items, but I want more.
I´m quite interested in getting those grey glitter jeans from S/S 05. Are they still in stores and if so how much do the cost? If they´re not, how much did they cost? Hope you can answer  :flower:

Hey guys. Still some F/W shoes on sale at LVR, 50% off. Pretty good deal even with the 50 Euro shipping fee.

Christmas limited edition Dior Run:flower:

Yea, but with shipping and not including duties, they go at around $231 - I think the Martin Margiela ones on aloharag look a lot better wont cost so much.

Does anyone know how these compare? I think theMM ones look a lot better...

Forget the MMM ones. They are 100% EXACTLY the german military ones you can get online for around $50-75. I was at Barneys and I held my german military ones up to the margielas and you literally cannot tell a difference. Leads me to believe that margiela just buys/commissions a huge stock of the german military ones and throws in one of his dustbags and jacks the price up. Save yourself the money and get the german ones on ebay.

As for my size...

6'0" 180 lbs (yeah... a bit higher than before likely due to the holidays haha)
31 in Dior jeans

I wear a 50 in the suits and a 48/50 in the jackets depending on the season and such.

In that case, skip both and get the originals

I'll post my size later - but in Dior jeans I know I'm 30 for a tight fit, 31 for inbetween, and 32 for a comfortable fit - the perfect fit is 31 because it's tight-ish but not ultra tight.

Hi everyone, what do you guys think of this piece? Hate it, or love it? Or nothin' at all? :p

Re: Margiela, I wonder... He has been known to make exact duplicates of vintage clothing, so I wonder if this is the case? I doubt we'll ever get an answer one way or the other, but until then, better safe than sorry.

Not true. I have had several pairs of the original german army sneakers and I can tell there´s a major improvement in the construction of the sole (the inlay is by far softer, also the rubber sole holds up with the shoe by far better than the original ones). The leather is also by far more subtle and higher quality, last but not least, they produced them as well in some different colour combos (vintage red and black/grey).

They are indeed replica designs, but definitely not re-labeled or commissioned. I also happen to think that they are very reasonably priced at around 170 €, that´s around half of what a Dior sneaker would cost, and the quality is fairly good. Margiela might be Diesel-owned, but it´s not all about dull quality and huge racket.

There´s a small selection of garments in his line 14 that are replica designs, and they always have a separate label that decribes where the original garment came from, the aproximate date/decade and such. The fabrics are often improved, but the overall purpose was to bring back interesting construction techniques/details, I have seen a particular 1920ies gardener´s pant from this winter that had an unusual closure and the fabric was also very nice, a very distinct heavy weight, ribbed twill with a sateen-ish grip. It was very good...
