*embarassed* 60% off $1,200

Don't forget to add 15% of taxes, aren't you glad to be living in the US?

I think I'm going to vomit now.

Damn, man - you better frame it ;) It's beautiful, but it looks so fragile.

Does anyone know if Balenciaga suits run slimmer than DH ones?

no, they don't. at least not in the shoulders, i've tried on a balenciaga suit jacket from a/w 04-05 and this current winter, both times it was way too big in the shoulders and had an unpleasant hanging effect in the lower back because of it. Hell, the Y's by Yohji Yamamoto blazer I bought is slimmer than the Balenciaga blazer I tried on.

So where do you put your wallet and cell? 'cuz i don't like to bring a bag, so esp. in summer, i put everything in my jeans pockets.
I even buy a Comme wallet which is very thin, (1cm in height) to fit my dior jeans.

I put cash/card in my pocket with a money clip, and just carry my cell, as I always do. I use my cell alot anyway, so putting it in a bag or a pocket seems impractical. Plus, I don't have any pants that I would put my cell phone in the pocket of, my phone is just too big.^_^

The bracelet version I had wasn't fragile at all.

Seeing the S/S 06 campaign makes it painfully clear that Dior is now completely bereft of details. The clothes look so empty and dull to me, like it's not even Dior. In my opinion, the only thing that stands out and looks as high fashion as Dior used to is the sparkly cropped jacket. Some other stuff is okay, but by that I mean it would work fine as supporting pieces, not the actual features of the ads.

That one makes the short trench look cool. Although admittedly, almost all of the pieces look cool in the ads, I just don't know how they'd function on a daily basis.

The ads do have that miu-miu/prada look to them though as stated on the MSN forum. Definitely looking forward to the new collection since Hedi has hinted that he is going back to actual design instead of all of his fringe projects. With him being done with the rock thing, it will be interesting to see where he takes it all.

A couple of the pieces I have up on ebay have been sold, this is what is still available:

- Black leather corsage
- Strip Riveted Black Leather High Tops
-XL white tank with black love shot/blood wound (from Red, NOT my reproductions!)
-Navy PVC striped polo from Strip
- Luster zippered knee dress pants sz. 48

I'm looking for the neon yellow Luster hoodie in size M if anyone has it... I'd be very interested!

PM me if you are interested in any of these pieces. I'm happy to work out a deal. Please keep in mind though that the first three pieces are definitely not cheap, and are quite rare.

Cheers!
A

Albert! Has Hedi stated that he's back to the roots or at least moving away from rock, and is this expected from FW06? Sounds great!

I hope so that the new collection will be centered less around sport jackets (pea coats, blousons, saharienne) and more about the fine tailoring aspect... I am pretty much tired of that commercial Dior attire, the sport jacket, jeans, sneaker and fringed skarf thing, it has become very repetitive throughout the seasons and it´s all just in the continuation of F/W 2004, probably my least favourite collection, except from the fabulous black suede boots and short one button tuxedos. I would like the whole thing to be more adult and elegant, also a bit more into the concept of eveningwear-made-casual that he always did so well, I always liked the imagery of the boys in those overtly correct tailcoats and smokings, sort of like a young bourgoise attire, the tension between a rebellious attitude and the conformity of a codified menswear wardrobe.

The new advertising campaign looks surprisingly good, given the fact that the first row of pictures that had already been shown a week ago were really bad (I also dislike the drawings, I find them quite kitsch)... I was actually very surprised to see that they didn´t feature any of the sgt. pepper jackets, at least the black on black which was quite wearable for an eyecandy as that. They really did well in keeping the colours down to a minimal palette of b&w with just an ocassional splash of red, it is also the first time in which I think it was appropriate to do it in colour, whereas last season seemed very randomly made to me.

He hinted at it. Check out the thread regarding his recent photo exhibit. I can barely wait for the next couple of weeks to go by!

I don't see anything special about that trench. I find it rather ugly on the runway, actually. Maybe it's just what it's worn with.

That's an good point about the Sgt. Pepper jackets, Jost. It would be interesting to see how they would have utilized it in this campaign.

"Bourgeois" is a very pejorative term (at least in France), if you want to say something positive the use of "Aristocratic" is usually the way to go. For that matter Dior used to be Aristocratic and became Bourgeois as of late :innocent:

Thank you

I find the trench quite wearable and modern looking. More suitable for the youngs one without looking too mature.

Rofl, imagine how much final value fees that shirt would cost him if it sold. Where's olivier/hedislim when you need him?

I want to see the silver ones... I'm lusting for them, I don't want to be disappointed :ninja:

That said... I think the sole looks nice from a formal perspective... I don't think I would want it black or gold, the gum color is complimentary to the gold without being gold or having a similar luster or texture. I think it works, though the price points are way too high. Not to mention the fact that all the dior sneakers have a rubber sole :p
