Having seen the collection in it's entirety I must say that there were a lot of really nice pieces that I think, will satisfy customers on the salesfloor. Take away all those silly plastic bracelets (I agree with everyone saying that they were hideous!) and those extra-large geek shades, and it consists of mostly wearable clothing.
There were a couple of almost deconstructed pieces (if you can say that with someone like Hedi, who is best known for his polished, "perfect" finish) that I thought were a little awkward, such as those waistcoats and jackets which only consisted of the curved buttonline in the front (I guess we should better call them accessories, rather than a garment) or the jacket with a big, obi-style pillow in the back (Hedi should better stop doing "silly" because his vision doesn't seem humourous at all).
Those long camisoles worn underneath a lot of looks as a layering piece were a nice additions to the carefully-build Dior Homme repertoir, in fact that's what I remember most precisely of the runway, seeing all those elongated jackets walking in front of me, with a hint of a curved hemline poking out from underneath over those glossy stretch leather pants. There were two jackets that I especially liked, one being the short sleeved, unlined blazer (I was looking for something like that for some time now, to wear in high summer when you probably wouldn't wear a jacket anymore) and the other being a short cutaway coat that cannot be closed except with a small belt that is barely more than just a decorative attribute. I am still not entirely sure which one I should get for myself as I liked both - I added pictures of both for your reference!
As far as the show production was concerned, I remember precisely that all the models were joking that it would be a really silly show to do this time because of the angel in the end and the "sound check" intervention before the show (there was a big speaker floating above the catwalk before the show started, I took the picture from my, *erhm*, front row seat (the Villa Moda owner didn't attend the show so they gave it to me as I was just standing around for a while, thank you!))... I definitely agree that it was rather confusing to look at this time, unlike previous outings at Dior. I personally loved the new haircut though, but also seeing those new, long-haired guys that did the show (who is that blond guy who wore the ruched, silver bomber jacket with white sash and tunique? he's awesome!).
