Dior Homme S/S 07 Paris

^yes..the styling is really strong
gives it the impression that the clothes are just play and not really for wearing
i think that's what most people thought when they first look at the clothes

nice review tricot
come to think of it...that bowl cut is really growing on me

i dont really care wheather hedi stay at DH or not now...as long as he's still doing his thing..im fine with him leaving.
im quite excited to see who got chosen to take on DH...i want to see the people's reactions to the new designer to come

I am almost 100% posotive that is a silver sandal worn with black socks...and may I just say...I'm not a fan of them

^i see
well..sry cant help
cause i have the first guy on my myspace
dont know the second guy

I know many people here have been indifferent in hedi's collections of late. However, i feel that his s/s06 collection was a nice collection and had so much style, even if it echoed doherty's styling. His a/w 0607 wasn't as good. It seemed as if he was trying to change his styling and lost his way. Oh and what about the models? Big ears!!
Default.aspx
This collection seems as if he has gone back to his "roots". Im liking it.

i thought f/w 06 was more of his "roots"..but just a little overboard
that whole evening wear thing was with him since the start

i thought the big ears thing was because of the slicked back hair XD and the oh so black back ground against the pale model
i didnt like that hair..seems too strict
i always think of dior homme as guys with strict taliored clothes but with a laid back feel..(again) that androgynous thing
f/w 06 to me was too up tight

i thought this collection was quite refreshing
he found his middle ground

as far as the actual collection fitting is concerned, they will probably re-fit the size 44 entirely as per the samples in the showroom (which more or less, correspond to the fit on the runway, without the cropped sleeve length). You can thank the head buyer for all Japanese Dior Homme corners and boutiques, because he said he had fitting problems as the product was "not edgy enough" because of the generous cutting of previous collections.

If i'm the buyer, i will strongly request a cropped sleeve length....though my arms not short...i still like cropped sleeve a lot...:innocent:

the size 44 for this season is huge i cant get anything to fit me i really wanted the chanel style jacket but its massive on me

Oh, I ordered the chanel style jacket in size 44 from Luisa with the crazy bow and the small bow...hope it will not runs too large...but hopefully, i won't just wear a tee inside...they never reply my mail after i made order...

BTW, I love some pieces in the 07SS, wish to get some later. DH shop will be opened in Hong Kong on 28/7/2006. Let see how will them mark up. Joyce used to make a 50% markup compare to europe price...

Hey Issa

I tried the Chanel jacket in a 44 in the New York boutique. Fit well in the shoulders, I would guess the shoulder to shoulder was approx 40cm, same as size 44 short trench SS/06. Unfortunately had a bad "roll" around the neck area on me which would have needed some major tailoring to smooth out.

Still thinking about it though, such a beautiful piece! Especially appealing at that price. Let us know when you get it.

That's easy to do by yourself, if you have a good tailor, he'd do it from the arm insert in the shoulder seams... It would be hard to sell though, if the actual product would already run that short in the arms... even on some of the model boys, it looks very odd if they tried on the jacket of another that might have had shorter arms.

I think I understand what you meant. The price is unbeatable, I can even have tax refund, only 700+ euro for me. BTW, I just bought a 42P one-button short blazer in lurex fabric. Don't know how it will fit. I normally wear 44. But I like shorter sleeves. Maybe I should get 44P.
If the 07SS will be more fitted in size 44, it'll be perfect. But I want shorten sleeves badly...I don't want to hide my lovely accessories, LOL! :woot:

Would it be better to get a Petit size? I know Petit size's sleeves are shorter. Because some jackets are still roomy in size 44 for me, of course depends which season, like 05SS, it feels a bit loose, esp. the bottom.
Oh, just saw a girl in office with the same runway hair passed by!:p To me, that's quite a sasson cut. Didn't i tell I used to be the model of London Sasson?

Hi issa, I just bought the chanel jacket in size 44 when I was in Paris last week. I think it's amazing and I have no complains regarding the construction - quality is top notch. It was a lot lighter than I had expected it to be and I think the cut is great (slim).
The arms are indeed a bit longer than on the runway but it looks great anyway and like Trico said, taking them in a bit is easily done.

Someone complained in another thread that it was way too big which I find a bit strange. I don't think it's larger than other 44 items, and it's definetely alot slimmer than the crap from last winter.

Btw, has anyone got their hands on a bowtie yet? I'm planning to buy one since I'd love to have an option to ties and bowties. And what do you think about the cummerbands? I was trying to visualize wearing them with a pair of black raw denim jeans, formal shoes, white dress shirt and a slim black jacket. Might be trying too hard?

Hi Waldner, I ordered the big crazy bow and a small bow, but didn't get it yet. I think wearing them with a knitwear or a dress shirt is nice. But the cummberbands...i would prefer the 07SS one...much casual...i dunno, i just think wearing this season cummerband with jacket like you're going to marry....(esp with the tux)..just my opinion...but i would like to wear in someday...haha~

I have to say that I also like the ss07 ones really much. It kind of casual yet very stylish and indeed a twist to the outfit. The grey one with black pants and black top is really nice. B)
