Dior Homme S/S 10 Paris

some nice pieces. the placket on the dress shirt a different touch, i would have never really thought of doing something like that.

i miss hedi though, i still have not had a chance to warm up to kris :/

so far, it's not completely disastrous. The only thing that irks me about KVA for Dior Homme is that he's not created or reidentified the look of the brand after Hedi Slimane left.

He's trying every possible direction... this is not the good one ... again
His first collection for DH was the best... the rest is just awful and is getting worse and worse.

^I agree. This is plain awful.... we've seen stuff like that before.... Hedi should be back but that won 't happen...ever.

first dior homme collection in a WHILE that has been even the least bit interesting to me, including the last slimane collections.

Guys am I missing something here?

I mean we only saw 3 pics yet for all these comments... Did you guys visit some other website to review the collection in its entirety, because it is a little premature to say that a collection is really bad or anything, by only seeing 3 snippets of pictures... I will wait until some nice person posts the whole collection here to form a better judgement.

Very accurate post and comment "Homeboy"!!....MJ is recently dead....but the demise of Dior Homme happened at the exit of Hedi Slimane.

I mean...lets face it..it was Hedi who resurrected Dior from extinction....and NOBODY will ever over-shadow his brilliance. others may try to interpret Hedi...but 9as in this case to prove)....all of them will fail...and badly so.

This collection lacks the severity and clean lines of simplicity that I always loved about Dior Homme...hardly any traces of black....and the sense of moodiness or darkness has all but disappeared.

This collection actually reminds me of an old Sears and Roebuck slogan. Their slogan is: "The Softer Side Of Sears". I don't want to see soft, pretty, drapey and airy colors from DH....I want hard-core severity...almost Apocalyptic...bordering on scary or end of the world!!

Well said. The actual show isn't until Sunday, so I'm sure there are plenty more comments like that to come.

I think we should possibly think about having "Preview" added to the title, so that people don't get confused.

^ now that makes more sense. Thanks.

Guys, hold your horses! Let's see what's what and what's not before sending KVA to the guillotine.

I can almost predict what more will un-fold within this collection. Lots more shades of gray....drapey and loose shirts or jackets....soft lapels on the jackets....harem-style pants/shorts...lots of white, etc etc.

I'm aware that this is the forthcomming SPRING collection...it's not meant to be so dark and harsh...but regardless.

I want everything to be tightly fitted....long and lean, a bit cropped and short, etc etc. If I wanted soft, loose, and drapey....I'd be anxious to see something from Lanvin.

I want the models to look mean and intimidating....something that would probably scare the ****e out of anyone who's not aware of Dior Homme....something that would make men in typical, boxy, traditional and boring suits from Brooks Brothers....run in fear!!

No to insult KVA cuz the man certainly has a lot of talent....but I don't think he's up-to-par to design Dior Homme. He does an amazing job with his own collection...under his own label.

I think THE perfect candidate that would bring back the original essense of Dior Homme would be.....Nicholas Ghesquire. Please forgive me if I spelled his name in-correctly...but I'm sure PLENTY of you know whom I'm referring to. He should quit Balenciaga...and lend his amazing skills to DH.

Any of you agree??

no, personally I think KVA sucks at all the brands he designs for, even his own. :ninja:

nicolas andreas taralis for dior homme please
