If Chanel/Dior has a Mademoiselle line, Hedi would be a real talent for the position, but he has a limited talent when it comes to cater mature/older clients.

i don't think young people are the biggest Hedi clients (besides the K pop ava bags or tiktok trendy shades) .....as much as his youth obsession is clear .....both from price point to the fact that the clothes he does are quite classic and grown up beside the OTT rock star pieces.

the real question is if he can actually make 6-8 collections in a year. It feels like he made around the same amount of collections in total for his 7 year stint at celine. He will run out of baby dresses and baby coats by half a year.

Hedi cuts usually adapt well to sizes, with limitations of course. I’ll never fault his cuts.

KL did not oversee all collections you know that the main collection teams do the ski and othe capsulöes and also add onto the resort collection following KLs input .

all big brands have now double teams for show collections and main commercial LV DIOR GUCCI PRADA HERMES the CD etc is involved depending on need or interest each season then all departments have head /design directors .

Celine drops all the time collections just like Chanel not as much because its more established than what Hedi started at Celine.

but they had celine yoga/pilates stuff coming up hermes also does now etc

the goal of them all is to be lifestyle brands what Ralph perfected years ago , you eats sleep travel dress smell life ...with/like the brand products to compliment every part of your life

Hedi's reputation is only tangentially related to his work. Channel should release his first few collections without saying who the CD is. Let longtime customers decide what they think of the clothes. Then drop the bomb that they're buying Slimane designs.

Hedi will need to find a song about ozempic to use as a runway soundtrack. Like that song about coke and amphetamines he used for his first Celine men's collection. With Hedi the music shows the way...

my opinion stays the same, hedi can only turn smaller brands into mini hedi chanels. Apart from that theres no other new direction he can take the actual Chanel. Everything in his hedi's how to turn a brand into chanel playbook is already existing/thriving in Chanel. What's left is to make unimagineable clothes that will make their clients dream.

Don't you think Chanel clothes are rooted in reality of dressing women, even if its a rich one but you know what i mean ...

Her inspirations are also in menswear fabric and cuts ....the tirloian mens jacket is the base of the famous chanel jacket she seen the hotel lift boys wear on her ski vacation etc fabrics beside the tweed she used for her suits as well was based of the jersey fabric utilized back then for men's underwear etc ........she is not as dreamy fantasy as a Schiaparelli or Dior

She is quite the practical butch tomboy Coco Chanel ...sure KL is part of the story of the house and brought his pop flair to the house and it should be carried as well forward freeing Chanel further with the times so it survives, but we should not want to expect from Chanel monumental designs that border the custom met gala archives most eventful display of fashion.
